  1. This. My suggestion, like any that involves both sides, involves the willingness to listen to outside opinions by pelosi and reid. Soo... it's a ways off.
  2. the lifetime winner in cash is an absolutely hilarious assertion that you have no way to prove and a tremendous amount of evidence to the contrary. also, the list of people that would put their roll on the table to play phil HU cash would blow your mind, and includes at least a half dozen players who post here. the nicest guy ever away from the table thing is garbage as well. the guy is a star @#$)( and won't give you the time of day if you're not famous.what I will give him is work ethic when it counts. Every WSOP i've been to, phil is playing every single event he can to get those cashes
  3. It is a fantastic idea that is not politically feasible in my humble opinion. you already have democrats pissed that the senate bill is not liberal enough and refusing to talk to republicans, and the fiscal conservatives who have problems with basically every one of the 3000 pages in the bill. And that's really the problem. There is so much absolute nonsense after 3,000 pages that you have a bill that contains so much that there isn't a single person in america who could honestly be happy with every provision. Even a big chunk of the people that feel like they have to vote for it because t
  4. better in this instance is entirely a matter of personal preference, but most people tend to prefer sports with it on and dramas with it off. somewhere between 60 and 120hz is the maximum refresh a human eye can discern anyway, and most people don't even have a connection that will display native 120hz, much less 240hz, whcih they're trying to push now for some reason.
  5. steve, you have 120hz blending on, and i'm guessing you have a samsung. as it was explained to me, things that come through your cable box are only 60hz, and the tv basically guesses what should be between the two frames and refreshes twice as fast, creating the weird sensation when watching it. it's good for sports, freaky and hard to get used to for dramas, and pretty easy to turn off.
  6. While the problem is not directly a federal problem, the precident set by obama in taking over GM that the government can change the priority of claims of secured creditors was very much the opposite of helping. A primary investor group in things like secured corporate debt and the highest rated corporate bonds are institutional investors like retirement plans and local and state governments who are looking for a low risk / low return investment.
  7. "Obviously the genetic mulligan stew of America's great brooding middlelands provides a fair portion of our grunt quota, but just as obviously we are going to send the smartest of our true beleivers to do the really Important work."He sounds like a real nice, humble guy.orFor someone trying to cram as many big words into a paragraph as possible, he has pretty piss poor grammar and spelling.or He seems to have no idea what point he's trying to make. He paints americans as thinking the more radical muslim world is stupid. I believe he intends to make the point that americans generalize the mus
  8. look, my list, 1-20 is tyson. if i draw a bottom number for the howevermanyth time in a row, and one of you picks him, i'm going to find your stars / tilt SNs and follow you around until this season ends. fair warning, happy picking.
  9. seriously? name a hand a non-complete-maniac-retard shoves that deep on that board with that action that doesn't have TT beat. MAYBE 44? This is JJ KK or Q9 like 93% of the time. You think someone's trying to get in 250bb for value with AJ?There are also additional factors that play into the hand. folding leaves you with still plenty of chips in a field that is still full of online qualifier who are wearing their cards on their foreheads in terms of tells. Even if this is a guy who is capable of bluffing DN - who, to put it lightly, has a reputation for loving to pick off what may be blu
  10. They flattened the prize pool so more people have cash to play the other 46 events there, meaning they get to double rake more of the prizepool. pretty smart imo.
  11. this would be hilarious and sad. it would be like putting al capone in charge of the IRS
  12. you must have skipped all kinds of stuff. my first playthrough of fallout 3 clocked in around 60 hours. i'm lvl 14 in dragon age, dwarf rogue. just offed the high dragon. weeee
  13. i will agree. i think fallout 3 is one of the best games i've ever played, and after about 5 hours with it, i loaded up the wikia because i had a question and was instantly pissed at how much awesome stuff i had been missing already.
  14. anyone else playing dragon age?i feel like this is a game i want to have a walkthrough available so i don't miss quests or opportunities.
  15. I just want to say that it's so amazing that Ben Nelson stood up for his principles by not voting for the health care bill that would pay for abortions and destroy the economy - until he got outright bribed. A man of true integrity, that Ben Nelson
