  1. but the one that costs an extra trillion dollars makes a ton of people who don't want traditional insurance buy it, and a lot of people who want basic insurance buy super expensive insurance.wait... damn it.
  2. It is very difficult to read your posts without getting angry.- Yes, in a hospital that is accountable for its costs, they generally bill based on what is used. This is how a system of inventory works. Do you get pissed when you get a check at dinner and they counted how many shirley temples you had? You seem to be under the impression that hospitals in the US are more concerned with doing inventory than taking care of patients. This is nonsense. My wife recently gave birth. Every time a nurse attended to her, they would take care of everything my wife needed, then deal with noting what
  3. how there can be anyone on the villians tribe that wants to vote out by far their best chance at challenges (rob) is amazing. i didn't like the drama candace got into, she needs to keep her head down. I don't really understand JT's motivations for doing what he did...
  4. and i've answered you a ****ing lot of times. quit asking the same stupid propagandist questions. We aren't against people HAVING healthcare. No one is against people being healthy and being able to see doctors, etc. Basic healthcare is available to anyone in this country. Break your arm and walk into any emergency room in the country and they will fix it. I want everyone to be able to afford and take responsibility for their own health. If people can't be expected to be able to take responsibility for their own healthcare, and there is no outside mitigating factor that keeps them from h
  5. there's something surreal about the winner of the second biggest tournament this year being the first to tell a micro stakes player good luck.FCP and emperor gimbeltine are awesome.
  6. on the bright side, it penalizes companies over 50 employees significantly more than the senate bill does for not providing health care for its employees. wait, did i say bright side? i meant "this is the opposite of what everyone who was considering hiring people was hoping you'd do, it's ok, no one wanted a job anyway".

  8. eh, sure why not. this will save me the time of moving money to stars. i'll talk to you later today.
  9. i realize i presented it in a humorous fashion, but i'm very serious about the underlying point.Sklansky talks about how every poker player is thinking on a specific level. Level 0: what are my cardsLevel 1: what does my opponent haveLevel 2: what does my oppenent think I haveLevel 3: what does my opponent think i think he hasetc. If someone is on level zero, and they're only thinking about what they have, expecting your opponent to react to information you're attempting to give him about your hand - expecting him to make decisions based on that information is a waste. you may as well be givi
  10. At these stakes, imagine that your opponents are sitting at a desk with a button that says call that's about 1 foot in diameter. They also have a button that says fold that's about half an inch in diameter, and it's barely within reach. There's also a raise button, but it's in another room, guarded by a sharktopus. They have to press a button. They need a pretty compelling reason (Oh no, i only have ace high, bottom pair, etc are not compelling enough to them) to reach over to hit the tiny fold button, and they need a HUGE reason to go storm the sharktopus and raise. Got it?For the level
  11. Legacy sticks reverse the function of left and right between the two sticks. it's also called the "goldeneye" setup because it's more like how the first real console FPS with full range of motion (goldeneye) functioned. It's more advantageous to people who like to strafe and it's been an available control scheme for almost every major 2 stick console FPS since Halo:CE. There was a huge thread on the 2k games forums about this in the first bioshock, with a guy who even developed for the 360 pointing out how easy it would have been to inclue or patch in, and they ignored it. Also leaving it
  12. they don't have legacy stick controls. amazingly retarded
  13. i thought it was horribly boring. stop spending so much time in the "if they landed" timeline
  14. so you don't even have the disclipline to play correctly in a normal ring game that's not rush poker, but you think an arbitrary buy-in rule is going to keep you from losing your cash?the honest truth is this - if your personal finances can't handle you not having that $100 any more, or replacing it the next time you want to play cards, you shouldn't be playing online poker. You can treat poker like entertainment or a business. I'm not saying you can't enjoy playing if you treat it like a business, but imposing hard and fast rules on your entertainment will keep it from being fun, and making
  15. i almost spit out my beer when they were doing the "describe phil hellmuth thing" and tom said "VERY TALL". i think it was the delivery
  16. For you guys playing bioshock 2, does it have legacy stick settings? I didn't play the first one because i hate being screwed up switching between normal and legacy sticks every time i change games.
  17. Had my best game ever last night and it super pissed me off. I went 16 or 17-1 and i actually had my chopper gunner pop up as i got the gamewinning kill with my harrier. If the rest of my team hadn't been so good I could have gotten my first nuke easily.what's this +1,500 kills thing?
  18. Yeah, it's not going to cut the cost of health care in half or anything, but shaving 2-3% off costs would be a massive boon for a private company. I don't see how that's not worth taking a look at.
  19. I don't know how saying either piece of legislation (house or senate healthcare bills) will lower the cost of healthcare can be anything but a lie. It's not interpretation, the CBO says the exact opposite.
  20. edit: nm, figured it out. i guess that explains how i had to deal with nonstop chopper gunners and AC 130s in a match the other day.
  21. From the white house briefing room today, obama realized he wasn't going to be on TV enough this week so took some questions on his own: So... that entire first rambling first answer went: a) everything is still bush's fault. B) that said, the economy is expanding! i promise! companies i've had photo ops at after they got a ton of stimulus money said they're going to start hiring right away. i believe them, because jobs are driven by how much the government spends.c) there are two ways of looking at risk. the first is to blame banks again. i'm coming for you banks!* d) people want
