My second admission drawing. The assignment was to make an illustration to one of our favourite songs. I chose Tornado by Jónsi
-
I think fanart self portraits are kinda amazing. I like the bold background color. In general I like the color choices ( including the absence of). Dunno about the hand full of hippie vegan symbolism, seems heavy handed but whateva floats yer boat.
The assignment was to visualize something you can't live without. So it's kind of a metaphor for creativity.
-
So I've made fanart of myself.
Well, not really - it's an admission drawing for an art school.
It's me though, so kind of!
-
Man, I'm disappointed in your artistic inputs here, people. (Except yours, AmScray. That was beautiful.)

I don't trust them at all. I once found out one was a witch, so we burned her. Still haunts me to this day...

I feel you, I feel you. Keeping it cas', but not sketchy. Sowing your wild oats, but keeping on eye on what you'll have to reap.
We speak the same language.
-
However, I like to keep in touch. So I've got more "friends" than a one-night thing.
-
Nice. You do a lot of one night stands, or are you more into the relationship thing? A young guy like you has gotta keep his options open, am I right?
I'm not fit for relationships. My mind "wanders" too much. And as you say, I keep my options open. I like to indulge myself.

What about more...sensual sins of the flesh?
What? I'm a vegan buddhist that doesn't drink. I'm not a weirdo. Of course I drive the meat train to pound town.

A Norse Vegan. Your Viking ancestors are weeping
I don't even consume alcohol.

Its always been very obvious, particularly in Finns who not only look like Indians, but are solid middle distance runners and drunkards like Indians because their metabolic system is the same.
The interesting Y factor here is that northern Europeans tend to be loaded with a ****ton of neanderthal genome, too.

If anyone wondered why Finns are such freak poker players and were able to kick the shit out of the Soviet Army with deer rifles when outnumbered 20-1...
Well, I'm a vegan teetotaler who promotes humanitarian work. I don't feel any violence lurking inside...

I have a feeling that we've aberrated a bit from the main topic (Phil Ivey) here.

This famous picture from National Geographic is an example of the Steepe Genetic exchange.
This woman is from Afghanistan. Bright green eyes are likely result of the Steepe Nomads that conquered Afghanistan at various points ( though there's a non-zero chance it's a product of British Rape during the colonial age)
Maybe we're related...
-
You lost me in all the internal humour.
-
This Steepe Genetic exchange went both ways, btw. Genghis Khan was said to have red hair and green eyes.
Well I'll be damned. I'm a Norse/Fin, with viking (and probably mongolian) ancestry. I have red beard and green eyes.
I was right about you being gay though? It's no big deal. Trust me, Daniel is totally cool with that. *wink*
Just because I'm good looking, doesn't make me gay...
-
Fresh fish, we're reeling em in.
Nice tats though. We used to have a guy around here who had tats and loved a tranny that looked an awful lot like you. No offense, she was hot.
I'm not entirely sure if you're being witty or not...

Don't trust him Suited. He probably just forged Twitter. Or hacked someone's screen name and then changed the profile pic.
Or maybe he found someone obscure Ivey was already following and then made his FCP account with the same gay Korean avatar and name.
You just can't trust the internet anymore. It's not like the good old days.
First of all: I'm not Korean. And Narum is my last name.
I'm honoured, though. That you think I'd go through all that trouble. <3

a clever forgery. but i've seen beans whip up better after a dozen coronas.
You're welcome to check out my followers on Twitter yourself. <3

Ivey just followed me on Twitter. He can't be that bad.

We have a painter who uses a real severed hand to make some of his work. And also we have people that do live-sex on stage and stuff. I think it will be fine.
-
If you did that from scratch, it's nutty talented.
How do you like that bamboo thing?
I've been thinking about getting something like that to draw with.
Right now I just make paints but I'm convinced that with better tools, I could make stuff that would be classified as Felonious obscenity in most of Europe.
I painted after various reference images. But it's done from scratch, yes!
I'm very pleased with the Bamboo tablet - it's a bit small so I'm gonna upgrade when I can afford it, but it serves its purpose!
And I don't think you need to worry about "obscenity" - art museums here show everything from "cakes" made from photographs of genitalia, people having sex in churches and so on.
So you'll be fine!
-
Its obviously very good and you have a lot of talent.
Here's a paint I did of Daniel and Lindgren.
It took me about 2 minutes.
It is absolutely beautiful!

WOW, SPOILERS NEXT TIME ****FACE
If you haven't yet watched one of the greatest movies ever, I'm terribly sorry.

I like purple. It's also the complementary colour of green. Which is the colour of my eyes.
