being a canadian citizen but winning most of your money in the US what are the laws for income tax purposes. I know in the US its alot more complex than here in Canada but do you have to claim your poker winnings as taxes. I do mostly online sports betting where I have made a few dollars but Canadians don't pay taxes on casino and lottery winnings. What do you do for both canadian and US and any tips on ways around taxes. Thank you

I think alot of these new players in the smaller tourneys don't even think about it or are just excited they won so they forget. Thanks for the responses Iam glad I tip enough.

that mother of all tourneys will have corporate dollars as well not just the buy-ins. Its about time these freeloading carriers start adding some cash.

I play mostly smaller tourneys payouts between 3-10 grand for 1st place. If I win under a grand I dont tip at all over a grand usually 100 bucks up to 300. How much do you guys tip and what do the pros tip in the million dollar games.

playing internet poker or poker anywhere nowadays is difficult. Lots of rookies that will fish all day good for people playing premium hands but also increases your chance of a bad beat on the river. Also some of these rookies don't even realize what the board has this one time multi-player tourney 10,j,q,k,A no flush possible guy to my right goes all-in knowing its a splitpot I call the third guy folds, Iam thinking what kind of idiot playing a $100 tourney would not realize this. its 100 tourney I would call with QQ not a problem I dont think anyone with AA or KK would go all-in people love to slow play these hands If they go all in, the blinds are what 15-30 at best 25-50 if the tourney just started they win a whole 50 bucks with AA not likely. I hate JJ or 10-10 sp I would fold those 2. I can see someone with low pocket pairs doing this not someone with kk or AA.

I have my sportsbook and poker site with the same company I will eventually play poker here, my sportsbook verifies my info every $5000 deposited or every 6 months. 4 times a year I print the sheets sign them and fax them back. I have been with them for 10 years and still do this 4 times a year its not a big deal when you think about it it takes five minutes thats 20 min of your time a year.
