i think you are talking about calling stations but most poker pooks are referring to aggressive players who yes are loose, but also raise a lot ie gus hansen, good luck having him on your left

6 months isn't much, keep playing and instincts will grow, you would have sensed something weird and still woulda lost money on the hand, but probably not all your stack, trust me on that

although I'm a stud/hold em player I have played my share of omaha and personally think it was a good play on your part.
