  1. Hi,here is another hand from me. After playing for about an hour, a new guy takes the 2nd seat to my right. I never played him before and after 6 hands this happened:PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comCO ($25)Button ($31.73)SB ($11)BB ($10)UTG ($25)Hero (UTG+1) ($26.27)MP1 ($33.94)MP2 ($10.25)MP3 ($19.75)Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Kheart.gif, Aheart.gif1 fold, Hero bets $0.75, 6 folds, BB calls $0.50Flop: ($1.60) Qclub.gif, 7diamond.gif, Kspade.gif(2 players)BB bets $0.67, Hero calls $0.67Turn: ($2.94) 6spade.gif(2 players)BB bets $1.50, Hero calls $1.50River: ($5.94) 5club.gif(2 players)BB bets $7.08 (All-In), Hero ???I did not raise him on the flop and on the turn, because I didn't want to scare him off with a pair or the straight draw. I thought I could get some more value on the later streets. In my opinion he must had hit something on the flop. But since he made only standard bets, I didn’t give him credit for a real big hand. What surprised me was the shove on the river. I was ready to reraise another bet or to a bet after a check. But now I was not quit sure about what to do. He could be bluffing a busted draw or wanting payoff off with a set. With a King or a Queen I would expect another value bet for about half the pot. For me the backdoor straight was quit unlikely. So were the pocket fives.I really thought about folding. Since I was in for about 12BB facing this huge bet for 28BB. Should I risk a third of my stack with TPTK here? What would you do? Would you play the hand any different? Did I miss something? I welcome any comments and analyses. Thanks

  2. Hi everybody, here is a hand I played some days ago on Poker Stars. I’m very interested in what your opinions are on how I played the hand and how you would.PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (8 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comCO ($6.52)Button ($25.90)SB ($27.16)BB ($27.85)UTG ($26.26)UTG+1 ($10.92)MP1 ($27.20)Hero (MP2) ($25)Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 6 :club:, 6 :ts3 folds, Hero calls $0.25, 1 fold, Button calls $0.25, SB calls $0.15, BB checksFlop: ($1) 6 :qh, 10 :4h, 5 :5c(4 players)SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $0.25, Button calls $0.25, SB calls $0.25, 1 foldTurn: ($1.75) 9 :3h(3 players)SB checks, Hero checks, Button bets $0.75, SB raises to $2.75, Hero foldsI had no reads or history so far. HM stats (VPIP/PFR/AGF/Hands) where:SB: 15/9/3.0/109Button: 11/6/0.8/100I have two questions for you:1. Should I bet more on the flop with my set to get value from the straight and flush draws? With three opponents I felt not so comfortable to play a big pot.2. Was the fold on turn mathematically correct? The pot gave me 1.9 to 1 as it was my turn. But I needed 3.6 to 1 for my 10 outs (full house or quads) vs. possible flush or straight. With the check-raise from the SB I put him on a flush. Should I calculate the implied Odds here to make a call profitable? How is the math for that?
