  1. treme is a bunch of the same people from The Wire doing a show about new orleans around the time of katrina. first season was pretty neat, second not as neat.I previously had Damages on that list but I unsubbed it when I realized I hadn't watched most of season four. show is now lol-bad with the network switch.
  2. edit: oh, I guess puck daddy is all over reddit's hockey section
  3. I have:30 rock, archer, boardwalk empire, breaking bad, curb, dexter, eastbound and down, futurama, game of thrones, house, always sunny, louie, mad men, parks and rec, spartacus, walking dead, treme30 rock, house, spartacus, walking dead, and treme are all relatively weak shows of late. I mean, alec baldwin has been carrying 30 rock for quite a long while now.
  4. oh, btw, you sparked my curiosity: my last few games of LoL. I think I played a few games on another acct back in dec or january, but you get the idea. it's a fun game, but I'm the kind of person that has to be really fucking good at what I do. it takes 40+ hours/week to play competitive LoL.
  5. I was gonna put someone's name there, then stopped and considered that we're like half of FCP's volume these days. I see some curious names lurking from time to time.
  6. look, I will forcefeed historyporn here if I have toPBR steel billboard before it was scrapped for the war effort
  7. he does really need to shut the **** up, doesn't he
  8. I think he was asking advice on something else and everyone chose to pretend that he was asking about flying for the first time I've been waiting to hear about [unpopular poster]'s suicide for a very long time
  9. I'm not certain. Like I said, I glossed over it.
  10. I might go door to door for Obama if Santorum gets the nomination.
  11. I must have glossed over the part where someone insinuated that I cannot read financial statements
  12. IAMA = I am aAMA = ask me anythinge.g. IAmA person who does something marginally interesting, AMAsome media/PR "expert" wanted to promote a woody harrelson movie and knew nothing about how /r/iama works and thought he could bullshit for 15 minutes. usually these things go on for a few hours, and you will get caught if you are obviously lying about who you are/what you do.
  13. I am constantly falling into this trap of, "oh, it's on this week's top 10, maybe it's something cool?" it is ALWAYS generic, boring indie rock. indie music snobs have the worst tendencies.
  14. my favorite comment thread from a related postit's easily the worst yet as far as celebrity:embarrassment. the most common thing that causes an AMA thread to turn aggressively mean toward the IAMAer is when the person is obviously an attention-seeker who doesn't think their answers need to be funny/creative, or blatantly ignores the highly-upvoted questions. seen quite a few mediocre celeb IAMAs though.tosh actually refused to do an iama not that long ago. which, I mean, we've been over what his show is...
  15. yeah I called some infant relative of randy's an "IDIOT"
  16. the leap part was meant to refer to your post, the derail part was meant to refer to whatever it is that you guys have been talking about for two pages. is it really so earth-shattering?
  17. hoooooly balls what a leapthis is one of the most incredible derailings I've ever seen, both for this thread and for the political landscape. correct me if I'm wrong, but this rivals the lapel pin scandal in significance.
  18. this kid is going to be a gamer and you know it. let me start coaching him on RTS games ASAP. my weakness was a lack of the asian swiftness. I will make him great.
  19. I won't be at the meeting at all.I'll work on finding a way to draw extremely tiny lightning bolts just in case the situation changes.
  20. supposedly, someone that got done with school while working for themwas able to get the president to put in the good word at another organization (he was on the board) and got this personhiredbut that was a different career path. no one in my bank can pull any strings to get me a nice job in a bigger financial institution.from what I've seen/heard, they're going to have this meeting, ignore what my boss has to say, and give me a 10-50 cent raise. I think you guys are correct in your assessment (that negotiating will be futile), so what's the play in that scenario?
  21. also really coolthe lincoln assassination conspirator thread is hilarious solely for the comments
  22. this subreddit [it's not NSFW despite the name, it's just a naming convention] is really neat. cool pictures + context in the comments.
  23. I don't think my pay was ever a secret here?
