  1. Great spot to double barrel, but you have to fire more around 5-6.
  2. If you think you're winning around 28.2% of the time here, it's a call. But in a 3-bet pot w/out history, I'd probably just let it go.
  3. I like the b/3b line better here than c/r. He has somewhat of a passive AF, so if we try to go for the c/r, he may check behind. The db may induce raises from hands that usually shouldn't be, and even if not, we're guaranteeing money going into the pot compared to the c/r.
  4. If I were to continue with this hand after the flop, I'd be CRAI a turn like that.
  5. Results: Villain shows 6h3h and I take the pot.
  6. This is a standard fold. Really. I agree with Zach's assertion that we should've led the flop though. My money's on 44 or K10. He's doing this with a hand we beat less than 5% of the time here.
  7. Villain's a 68/16/2.5 after 60 or so handss. Has c/r big hands like straights and trips on turns. I'm playing my usual 23/19/infinity, probably. 8. Bluffs should definitely be included in his range. Daut is very capable of bluffing. 23o is just included so bluffs are part of the equity calculation; obviously he isn't calling with 23o there ever.
  9. A c-bet % of 93% is way too high. This percentage means that you're often firing into two+ people when you shouldn't be and c-betting on flops that mesh really well with the other person's range (ex: raising UTG with AdKd and the button calling, firing on a flop of 9h8h6c) I'd aim to lower your c-betting percentage in the 60-75% range. Perceptive opponents are going to be stealing pots from you all the time on the flop when they see a c-betting % like yours. But this hand is standard.
  10. Something about that number seemed intuitively wrong. You're right; I stand corrected. However, I'm still convinced this is a call. I don't think you're factoring in that third point you brought up enough; sometimes we'll win without hitting a set. Your average $100 NL bb's 3-betting range is fairly wide here, especially if we've been opening from LP a lot.
  11. Chances of losing with that set is not 18%. Your math is wrong.
  12. If you have a stack that's 10x the call, it should be a call. You definitely don't need $500 for this to be a profitable call. That's a pretty outrageous statement. Considering that you've raised on the button, the bb could be stealing with a high range here anyway. Calling>folding>raising, imo. How many hands have both you and the villain been sitting? Has he had a chance to see any of the hands you opened with from LP?
  13. It's an easy 4-bet, considering our positional disadvantage.
  14. I'm aware that betting>checking the flop. You guys are right; it would've made this hand much easier to play. But to say a play should be made 100% of the time? That statement is wrong.
  15. Guys, I bet this flop 95% of the time. Gotta mix things up sometimes.
  16. Do we think him having a 9 is likely? Or him having the flush? After he called the turn c/r, I realized his hand was pretty strong. It felt like an overpair to me. I was going to give up, but the 9 on the river seemed like a good card to rep. Do you think an overpair would fold in this situation? I don't have much HU experience, but I couldn't see how an overpair could handle that much heat on the turn and the river.

  18. This was at a 6-max table where everyone else was sitting out at the time. It had only been two handed for probably 4 hands, which is why my stats are like 6-max.
  19. Villain's running at 43.62/15/1.25. I'm running at 20/15/2.8. I haven't done anything too crazy so far. 20. I'm on a downswing right now. I'm down 5.5 BI after 4500 hands over this last week. I guess this is to be expected in terms of variance in the game, but it's been kinda rough on me since I don't play full time (I'm a student). Looking at my PT stats, I've only won 50% with AA and I'm net down a BI with them. I'm 2+ BI down with AQ and I've only won 28.6% with that. It's just pretty nasty. I feel like I'm playing well, but it's tough to tell when your results don't reflect it. Poker's a crazy game, cause you can be playing terrible but your results won't reflect it and vice versa.
