Viva Mercados is good for mexican, I used to eat there all the time when I lived in Vegas and always stop in when I'm in town. It's on the north west corner of Flamigo and Jones, casual and small, so there is usually a wait.

The major US beers are awful but we have a great microbrew and craft brew industry in the US that produces great beers. Here in colorado you can find a bunch of local micro brews that are very good. Heinekin is a more expensive beer here but not elite at all. In fact a lot of casinos use it has the upscale free beer while you play.
