I'm more concerned that we lost Roloson as a Wild net tender. Traded for a first round pick next season. Granted we still have Manny, but...Oh yeah, Big D. That guys a tool. What does he think he can achieve. He comes off a big injury that tanked him for half the season, he was throwing his worst season as it was, the whole boating incident....on top of this he's going to make the ultimatum of 10 mil or I walk? Talented as he is, some folks just don't know when to shut the hell up. I can't even think of what value he'd get in a trade or who would want him. At this point I'd rather trad

"Well I suppose I'm deranged but I'll just have to call."and "I'm 'ere Huckleberry."Also, when asked if I have the nuts, "'Bout the biggest pair you've ever seen, dingleberry."Yeah, I likes the movies. I should be playing poker in fantasy land.

That sounds so familiar....Fight Club?

Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back. Han to C3POust before going into the astoroid field hoping to lose the imperial tie fighter pursuers....A classic.BTW, the odds are 3,720 to 1 to successfully navigate the asteroid field. And I don't need to look that up to know it. :oops:Also, George Lucas uses the numbers 3-2-7 in various combinations a lot in all the Star Wars movies. It has to do with his first car having a 327 cubic inch engine. And I thought I was a nerd...

I too lean towards most of the agreed actions. With a little different rationale.Preflop: raise or fold. if you are going to play this hand, you want to shuffle loose the mortal coil any and all hands that you can. Narrow the field. Mostly you're hoping to see pairs either TPTK and if that's the case you don't need someone holding T2 in the BB wondering into two pair (or two dummy diamonds hitting a flush).Flop: Call only because now I don't want to chase out calling money. As said, anyone with the flush draw is sticking around anyway and anyone paired with the board or on a str8 draw is

i have an internet date with a phlebotomist tonight

I went on a date with a girl who told me she studied chemistry and biology. Turned out she was a forensic scientist. I decided I didnt want a hand on my dick that had been on some dead body earlier that day.oooo, good call. -
Hmmm, mayhaps too obscure. Think 80's comedy duo known for very low brow skits and routines, running gags, and for this particular film, Amsterdam.Fine, it was Cheech and Chong's Still Smokin' award winning material really. This scene was from one of their sketches entitled Queer Wars.

help! tough river decision.
oceansize replied to jimmybaker04's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
yeah, what beats you? AT, 9T, trips, or two clubs....Checking on the river really put you in this position. Because he doesn't need a hand here to take this pot from you. If he made you on a Hi club draw, that would have given you outs for a str8 or flush which (if he put you on that) you didn't make and checking the river makes it look even more like that. He could have been calling this all the way down waiting to pop it with a flopped flush, but if that were the case I would think he would want to make a play that you would call, he would have raised earlier (at least the turn) and take -

don't quite get the reference here... :?Yeah, i'm hungover at work. Bad times. I don't quite get myself here either. I think I was just going for alluding to filth.(radio edit)Oh I remember now. I think I meant he should just play this one out. When she makes movement towards the pot he can call down without too much concern over the strength of his hand. Or something. -
yep, still looking for a title though. Mr. Burt, Mr. Dolly."Damn, I must be getting too handsome. This guy thinks I'm Burt Reynolds. Maybe I should get a scare to make it easier on him."
-
Fold, you're one spot from the pay off circle and could be one going out this hand. You've also got a decent enough stack where you want to lead the action with hands like AQ, not call All-Ins with it especially before a flop.

Not long ago I dated a chemical engineer. I'm not terribly certain on this, but if there is any credit to my theory, science chicks bang like cymbols in an over worked marching band. For days. And in keeping with our strategy session and using the above as a guide, I'd say she's apt to make some move regardless of the board on 4th street. If you find even just a naked ace in the hole, it couldn't be too damaging to check/call this one all the way down. -
Last night? Seven Guiness chased down with 3 High Life's. I think I might have had some chips and salsa in there somewhere.
-
Oh you know who's gonna be there. Han Solo. Hands so low you can hardly see what their doing.Well if I can't wear the cape I'm not going. But Dougie we have to go, were imperial gaurds.(I went obscure here too)

What I loved best of those early days were the text based computer games. they were on everything from weather forcasting, lemenade and hot dog stands to "Get ye flask" adventure type games. Those were great. Graphics schmaphics.

Bah. The only good thing about my miserable little excuse for a life is that I've never been involved during this torrid little month of foolish spending....So I've successfully escaped one reason to part with hardly earned cash. So far.F*ck I hate me. :-)

Yep. That about just makes me more interested. Scratch what I sayed earlier about the money thing. He mentions it.
