  1. i play it alot...the game varies so much it's tough to say. alot of the play depends on whether there are tough players coming down from, or on a list for the 20-40 game, or whether you've got a few weekend players looking to splash around a little...500 is a little light for a 10/20 game, no matter where you play - 25 big bets means if you lose 3 pots youre worried about your stack.the 4-8 game is great. my hourly there is just as good as the 10-20 (just not worth the torture of the slow pace.)gl
  2. limping was definitely a 50/50 play here...i did it b/c the three people in late position were very tight...the big blind, however, was LAG, and when I saw him look at me, his cards, then raise immediately...i decided to call b/c i thought he using his stack to buy some chips. If I didn't have that read, i would mucked jt to the raise easily.I feel like all the postflop criticism is right on...If I was going to call all my chips anyway, I should have moved all in. This way, he may have considered folding even top pair...As it was, I made his top pair move very easy for himthanks for the input
  3. when i knew he thought i was weak, i thought there was a good chance he would make a sizable bet regardless of the flop, and then i could convince him that i hit it with kj of kq...i like to be in hands when i know what my opponent thinks i have...more powerful than knowing what they have.
  4. I've been beating myself up since I played this hand yesterday...please feel free to blast me.Foxwoods 2k buyin - 70-80 people left, top 20 paidI have 26k, slightly above average I think. Chip leader at the table has roughly 60k.blinds 300-600 75 antelimp w/10cJc from middle position. Action is folded to small blind who calls. Chip leader looks at me before he looks at cards, then immediately raises to 3k. I thought he knew I was weak...that he would put me on a hand roughly close to what I had...so I called, hoping to use that info. small blind folds.Flop is k74, 2 clubs.Chip leader quickly b
  5. im not a hater, in fact im a huge fan...but i definitely think there is a correlation between how much you play and your results.i don't think that it's a coincidence that daniel played several tournaments in a row, as well as alot of hours online, before breaking through again. I know alot of it is the cards, but there's no denying you make better reads, and can be more patient, the more hours you log.great job dn!! congrats
  6. last year they played right in the poker room...saw doyle, reese, and greenstein playing three handed.dn is not playing the 10,000, is he?
  7. chicks love money...in particular 100 dollar bills rolled up in an elastic.they don't care how you get it.
  8. the games at foxwoods are soft...even the 2-5 game on a weekend plays the same way as a 1-2 game. No, I'm not tracking how many flops I see online versus live. I am a pretty loose player pre-flop in a live game, though, as I feel like I can outplay most of the field after the flop, especially in a 1-2 game. Sometimes I play tight online, other times I play a little looser...still trying to find my groove.I should get on board with poker tracker (is that the name of it?)To complete the thought on Foxwoods being soft...when I was playing alot of limit (mostly 5-10 with a Kill,) I found that the
  9. i appreciate the feedback, but my records are good. I am a winning player live...any thoughts on the difference between when to bluff in a live ring game, versus online? In a live game, I can sense weakness better, but truly I have no clue online.
  10. Hello - long time reader, first time poster.I'm looking for some advice on taking my online game up a notch. I play live at Foxwoods once or twice a week. I play 1-2 and 2-5 NL, depending on how tough the 2-5 game is that night. I keep pretty good records, and for the year I am +15700. I play 1-2 no limit online, about 8 hours a week, and I am -2200.I'm pretty good at the math part of the game (counting outs, probability of completing draws, etc.,) but I guess I'm better at the "people" part of poker. I can't really apply this strength in the online game, because I can't read body language.
