This is a letter I wrote to Ultimate Bet.com's complaint and security staff. My administrative duty in my league is to do exactly this. UB was very happy to receive this complaint and immediately took action against this scammer. Be very careful about scam-artist who want to take your cash away from you. Even if you suspect it is a scam, you should report it to the sites security staff. After this email circulated throughout my league- I had found dozens of people who have been harrassed and tempted by this guy. It just took my one letter to get his IP address permanetly blocked at their

Exactly- I decide to quit my job usually about once a week. doesn't mean I actually go through with that thought.
-
Yeah- I'm a pool player too and I understand exactly what you are saying. Your first shot should be heavily depended on how you can set up the next shot and so forth- Not relying on luck of Physics that the balls will realign to a nice shot on the second.
-
Don't believe he said that he has quit his job and proceeded with this idea. He's exploring his options.

It gives Forum Moderators and Admins. something to argue over. Don't know about this site- but on mine we constantly have grudge matches over which threads go to the grave and which gets archived.

I believe the article written explained that. No, he was not personally affected by this decision- but it's his profession that was. And the fact that DN had pointed out this oversite and stood up to defend the people who WERE personally affected is a very nice trait in a person- means he's not selfish. So, you see- he got exactly what he asked for- an apology for this mistake on behalf of everyone who was concerned in this matter.

I never considered that so many people use the auto-fold options. Seems like a silly thing to do for me. To me that's like peaking at your cards in a live game and folding before your turn. I would think this gives the table a lot of information about how much time it takes you to consider a good hand and a marginal hand. You know- bad cards- fold at lightning speed. Prime hands raising at equally lightning speed (because the raise any button is pushed) and marginal hands can be seen this way too all with the amount of time it takes for a person to make a decision. I just don't use the

Okay- I understand the intentions behind most of these posts- to be warm, caring, and supportive- Which is great. But my initial feelings on this is this: I see a lot of fear and hesitation. Previously, you had been playing relatively pressure free because if you lost- you still have a pay check coming in. NOW- if you made that leap- this IS your paycheck. How comfortable could you play knowing that. Are you likely to take extraneous risks because you may be short on the mortgage this week? School and education is great. I have no objection to that at all. I think that is a wonderful id

Does anyone consider this collusion?

My League has MANY married couples, siblings and quite a few father-son pairings. Maybe it's just us- but we all play cut-throat poker. Doesn't matter who is in the pot with us, we are going to do everything we can to take that away. For one, soft-playing your friends and close ones doesn't help to improve anyone's game. You learn the most by your mistakes made than the victories won. And two- it really isn't fair to your other league members. We are an extremely close league and play nine tournaments together a week. Hard not to develope a friendship with these people as often as you -
Yeah- My league doesn't play on Royal Vegas either- but we joined this tournament out of a grudge match against another league on our host site. We're looking forward to it. We have the number 11 league on this particular list.

Yeah and the search results came to an astounding 4,028 posts. That's real helpful for me. Thanks anyway

Grad school is important. Poker will still be here when you get back. Much luck in your future (both education and poker)

I agree you can talk and complain all you want. But don't dare use that as a defense because it makes "Interesting Poker" For every bad loser who wants to whine, there's just as many who take their loss maturely. And they are just as good as Hellmuth.
