  1. So the idea is we're supposed to post our final July graphs in the August thread right? I remember fighting it initially, but I think it's gotten too widely accepted for me to be able to turn the tide now. OK, here's all of July. It's pretty borderline on whether it's my best month ever considering I only get half, but I'm pretty sure the FPPs I earned and the $1500 or so in rakeback I'm due from FT are enough to swing it past the 40K I earned in January '07.On to August, here are my goals:1) Play 30K hands: I want to make sure I actually do this this time. I've been consistently missing my han
  2. Thought I still had a good chance to make my hand goal this month because I was thinking it was 30K, but I went back in the thread and looked and my actual hand goal was 35K. So yeah, that's not going to happen. Luckily, my winnings are still way above and beyond what I was expecting.
  3. I don't know if the Omaha Hi-Lo forum here gets any traffic, but you really can't "look at the hand from a high perspective" when there are two low cards out. It's going to play completely differently. If this weren't hi-lo, you'd just call with the intention of getting stacks in later. I don't think that can be your line in a hi-lo game though. I'd either raise to shut out the low draws or call with the intention of folding any low or pairing turn other than the A . Unfortunately, I never play PLO8 so I really don't know which one is correct.
  4. I've actually been doing a little coaching already. My standard rate's $300/hr, but I could probably work a discount for an FCPer that I know from the forums.Oh, and glad you all liked my graphs.
  5. Ah, much better. (Left the earlier comments in the thread for continuity's sake, but fixed my sig.)Anyway, after working up my courage, I finally checked my PokerEV graph for the night. Obviously, ran really well, but at least all-in luck wasn't the majority of my winnings.
  6. How come you all can say **** and I can't? No fair.
  7. Just had the biggest winning session of my life tonight. Won $34,600 over 1700 hands. Which makes this month.... pretty ****ing awesome.
  8. Well, still having my best month since January 07, and I could easily surpass that month at this pace. I will say that things have gotten pretty swongy since I started adding in 10/20 though as the below graph will attest. As for my volume goals, I'm a little bit behind pace, but if I can get into a grinding mood for the next week or so, I could at least reach 30K hands for the month which would be pretty satisfactory. On long-term plans, the addition of 10/20 on the stake is also making me a little less anxious to get on my own money. I'm thinking I probably will be sticking with the staking d
  9. Because he's a live player and most live players care more about "tricking people" than they do about making money. Fold to the river raise BTW.
  10. I only really post in the monthly goals thread and the Omaha forum any more, but it seems like the traffic on FCP has been falling big time. You'll have whole forums that won't get any responses for days, even when they actually had something interesting to say. Just wondering if anyone else has been paying attention to this and is thinking that FCP's going to be dying for good soon.
  11. New biggest pot won this year even if I played the river like a scared little girl. (Villain only had $1160 left, I definitely should have shoved. 13. LOL, yeah you totally set him up. Like anyone's ever folding top and bottom on that board with those stack sizes.
  14. All of the stuff Simo posted is pretty good except for the no open-limping part. That advice is fine for 6-max (although not quite necessary), but playing FR, if you raise a lot up front, you're going to get in trouble, especially if there are short stacks in play. In a typical online FR game, I usually won't raise anything in the first 3 positions.
  15. Meh, being down actually made me want to push more. I did weigh my options carefully first, and I do think it was slightly +EV given the range I put them on, but I really really wanted to roll the dice there and have a chance to get even. Being down 11K or down 15K doesn't really feel like that much of a difference to me, and as you can see, I quit my session shortly thereafter.
  16. That was my chance for a big get-even pot, it was a little over $10K actually. Had QQJT vs. what appeared to be two obvious AA hands and decided to shove.http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthread.php?t=248081
  17. You realize this isn't a wrap right? Anyway, with a shitty OESD and middle pair on a flush draw board facing a PSB from a passive player, you have a pretty easy fold on the flop. Your 3 nut outs just aren't that promising.
  18. I think maybe lady luck found my new signature disrespectful. She sure did f*ck me pretty good tonight anyway.
  19. QFT. All you're doing here is making him commit to any decent flop when he'll usually have decent equity. You should be taking advantage of his aggression by just getting in when you hit something here.
  20. Yeah, hope so. The Vegas trips kinda moved the time frame back a little bit, and I'm about to buy a car too, but I should still be off the stake in a month or two I think. Also, congratulations on the wedding. I remember you were planning things before, but it's great to hear that everything went smoothly and you two have started your life together. Here's to mucho happiness from here on out.
  21. Getting it in here is super-standard. If UTG had you covered, then maybe you could worry about one player having a good made hand and the other having the NFD. But if you can get it in 50/50 in the side pot (and I'd guess you're about 50% vs. button's range), you only have to call $26 into a $180 main pot. That means that you'd only need 15% equity 3-ways, and there are lots of times where either no one has the NFD or you're against 2 draws and your KK is good. Sorry, but this is a bad fold.
  22. Well, I've obviously been running really good the last week or so. I think my long-term winrate for mid-stakes is somewhere around 8 PTBB/100, but since the start of July I'm averaging 43 PTBB/100 for a little over 5,000 hands. (Up another $9K since posting the graph.)
  23. Hmm, can't say that's ever been an issue for me. Usually I just look at the other 5 tables until I have all 4 cards.
  24. Yeah, rundowns and one-gappers are much better 3-betting hands than KKxx or QQxx. I'll also mix in 8876 type hands sometimes and stuff like AKQ9ds and KKT8ds against real aggressive raisers where I'm not too worried about a 4-bet or when there are shallow stacks so that you get more value out of your heads-up equity.QJTx and JT9x I used to play from most positions, but now I only play them from the CO or Button and I think it's a big improvement. TT9x is almost always playable though as long as you keep the pot small. It's one of the few hands that I'll actually open-limp with from two off the
  25. July's been sick awesome so far since I got out of that desert hellhole. This is the only place I haven't bragged yet besides BBV.Most of the hands are at 3/6 FWIW, although most of the winnings are at 5/10. Still a little 2/4 in there too although I'm trying to cut that out as much as possible.
