yeah he was playing before as a low limit grinder in vegas. he was a member of the crew with dutch and scott fischman and brett gank junglutt. i bet he is still playing mainly cash games and doesnt travel the tourney circuit a whole lot.
Yeah, i dont see where mike could have played a lot with phil. Phil plays basically just big cash games that mike cant afford to play. I guess they could play on fulltilt but i never see phil on there.
Really? but heads up is a completely different game, i have no doubt he sucked out but everyone "sucks out" in heads up. every time he is at a final table he loses every race, cant win with AQ to save his life, and takes some beats so it seems to me like he is more unlucky than lucky.
Okay, this has probably been posted before but i missed it before if it happened. I was listening to an episode of the circuit on cardplayer.com and mike matusow was on there and said that while phil ivey is the best poker player in the world, he is also the luckiest. None of his TV tables show this at all and i was wondering where mike is coming up with this conclusion. Any thoughts?
Nah, had had QJ for Q high, no pair no draw. he said so in an episode of the circuit on cardplayer.com and said that sheiky making him pissed gave him the pot. im not actually sure what episode it was but thats what he had.
personally i believe that ivey has the best shot at winning it.seidel is a good choice as are doyle, dn, chan, and juanda, but ivey is the man, has a mixed game bracelet, and plays mixed games dayly.he is my pick.
