  1. EV is the samerunning it twice can make variance less.Peace
  2. Who uses trac ball mouse theese days?Way to go is optical mouse.Daniel you have to switch. :PPeace
  3. Why cant the tournaments be held during the weekends and at a better hour? 09.00PM EST is 03.00AM for some of us.A wee bit of hours.
  4. This thread is way to long lol, i hate adding to it but it looks like ppl forget a few simple things about this.1) It was Heads UP.2) I dont think Barry Greenstein is percieved to be one of the tightest players at that table. And its still Heads UP!3) Did i mention its Heads UP?I dont think i would have laid KK down in a HU situation like that.Oh and again its HU.Peace
  5. What i have heard and read a good rule of thumb for br is.if you play NL you need about 3000x big blind (to minimize risk of ruin)and in fixed you need about 300 big bets (to minimize risk of ruin). And no, i dont mean you have to sit with that on the table  that would mean with a 3k br you could play .5/1 NL and have about 30 buy ins if you cant win in that time then maybe something else is gone.Hope that helps
  6. All in all that kind of mindset is bad poker. You must understand that by even thinking about it, is -EVyou are wasting energy on thinking that some outside force makesyou go bust, instead of spending that energy in analyzing your game.I bet that if you think about it long enough you should see that youcould probably have saved lots of bets in those bad sessions. This thread should probably be erased.Peace
  7. Being exp or not, usually its good to know what the enemy knows...Theory of Poker is a must. If you read it once you need to read it again and again im about to start reading it for the 3rd time as soon as i finish up with a book im reading.SSHE must readHE for Advanced must read.Lee Jones book is okI have all of them in my poker library
  8. I think there are some in the Ishmael Analysis. Cant remember now
  9. Since we dont have any good reads or any good info. What suit is the 4 on turn does it bring a flushdraw out? Lots of ppl go nuts if they have top pair and a flushdraw.Personaly, if I would be last to act on river... i think i would cap the turn. Most of the time that would buy me a checkdown with the chance of winning the pot. Ppl generally slow down. If that would not be the case then you have to fold. Im probably not making sense here, but without any good reads well *shrugs*
  10. I would have bet the flop. Mostly to see what would have happened (since there is no flushdraw out on the flop) and only 45 to complete the str8. And also im gonna call one bet off here because of the potodds.I would have given it up on the turn as well after that.Nothing wrong in the way you played it. Many times its read dependeble on how you play the hand.Just my 2 cents.
  11. First, 5k hands is way to little to give any comment/advice even an introductury one. Wait until you get like 40k-50k hands or so.There is an excellent thread you should read and you can find it herehttp://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...pic.php?t=12767and also this one is very goodhttp://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat...rt=&PHPSESSID=/(its linked from the first thread link is called Ishmaels Analysis)My advice is, read those threads and wait a bit more before posting stats.Peace
  12. When it´s cashgame you dont have to show your hand in all-in situations.I never do it, unless i know the player real well and we both wanna see what we have.
  13. I aggree with Iceman05 here, We have limited options when facing a certain situation. Preflop we can either fold, call, raise and check (if we are bb)and depending on our read/feel for our opponent/s we can choose one of theese options. But only one of them will be the "correct" one and yield the max ev.Ergo i agree with quotePeace
  14. I think there is only one reply to this. !!!!Pot Odds!!!!!
