  1. Yup, guess that makes it official then :club:

Posted on Hendonmob site.Canadian Poker Pro joins team of World Champions at 2007 World Series of Poker LONDON, UK, JUNE 11, 2007— PokerStars, the world’s largest online poker site, today announced that champion poker player Daniel Negreanu has decided to make PokerStars his new professional home. A legend for his ability to read players, spot the best action and mentor up-and-coming players, Negreanu will join Team PokerStars as its newest ambassador of the sport beloved by 50 million people worldwide. "I've enjoyed a long personal relationship with the folks at PokerStars since the company's founding in 2001 and have always felt as though PokerStars fully understood what players wanted: lots of tournaments, lots of variety and great software," said Daniel Negreanu. "I'm very excited about joining Team PokerStars. The organisation seems like the perfect fit for me and I'm glad they feel the same way." The Toronto native left school early to pursue his dream of becoming a professional poker player and officially moved to Las Vegas at age 23. At the 1997 World Poker Finals at Foxwoods, Negreanu won back-to-back titles, earning himself the Best Player Award. He has since won three World Series of Poker bracelets, winning his first in 1998 (in the first WSOP event he had ever entered) at the age of 23, making him the youngest bracelet winner ever at that time. Negreanu has also been a dominant figure on the World Poker Tour, winning two titles and also boasting more top three finishes than any other player. A perennially popular player, Negreanu had been named the "Player of the Year," by the World Series of Poker, the World Poker Tour and Card Player magazine, as well as "Favorite Poker Player" by Card Player in February 2006. Negreanu has written over 100 articles for Card Player magazine, has a syndicated newspaper column in over 50 cities and also has a best selling book on the market entitled, "Hold'em Wisdom for All Players." For his second book, Daniel has assembled a team of ‘Superstar Contributors’ to write a book called, “Daniel Negreanu's Power Hold'em Strategy." He regularly plays against these contributors in televised tournaments and high stakes games including Late Night Poker, High Stakes Poker, the Poker Superstars Invitational Tournament and Ultimate Poker Challenge (as a commentator and stand-in host). “Daniel embodies what poker and PokerStars are all about: enjoying the excitement and the challenge of poker,” said fellow Team PokerStars Player Barry Greenstein. “Daniel is a true ambassador of the sport and we welcome him to the Team as well as all of his players and fans from Full Contact Poker. We know they will enjoy the PokerStars experience.”
  2. Was just observing the 50-100 limit HE table at pokerroom.com (FCP, Hollywood poker etc etc) and Todd Witteles was playing under his nick TheImpostor. He was being a weird dude and making really stupid comments but he actually gave some good advice to the others at the table:Basically he told them that if they were smart they would just stay away from all the high limit HU LHE matches that were going all the time now, just wasnt worth it. All players had so many different accounts etc and you never knew who you were playing, this basically confirmed what Daniel mentioned in his blog.So yeah not sure how many on here that have got the bankroll for 50-100 HU LHE but I am just telling you.Later

  3. Hey dude,Dont worry about the English-only rule stopping Scandinavian players from joining a poker room. We all study English in school for about 6 years, we dont dub our English movies (and we all sure watch a lot of them..) and we are generally fairly well versed with the English language. The only countries in mainland Europe where this would possibly be a problem would be southern countries such as Spain, France and Italy but they a really small part of the European poker community and hey basically what they need to know is what call, fold, raise means which I guess they do if they play poker.Later

  4. Ohh, hope I was not getting rude. If I did I must have learned from the best while lurking the last year hehe.It is probably just me not checking the forums out properly.Thanks.Take care

Wow, I am definitely not spending enough time on this website apparently. If a lurker like me visiting the site two times a day misses it I guess it cant have been all over the place. Will you ever be able to forgive me?
Hey now..let's not get rude.I think I was pretty cordial.Anyway..If you missed that discussion then you really don't check this site twice a day, since it was the first three pages of the General Forum for about two days. But I digress.Welcome to the forums!

You're right. This hadn't been discussed ad nauseum. Not in the new website/pokerroom thread. Not in the thread where DN told the poster he was "barking up the wrong tree if you think I'm a sellout."Not in another thirty subsequent new threads started since then. Thanks, man.I feel like my soul's been liberated since you've managed to shine this light on the truth.
  6. Noticed a thing that hasnt really been spoken about in the forum since the new fullcontactpoker.com went online the other day:"In December 2005, Daniel Negreanu sold the domain www.fullcontactpoker.com to Big Stack Enterprises (BSE), a Curacao corporation. He then signed a consulting agreement with BSE to help guide many new and exciting changes to FCP."Just figured it should be highlighted for all the forum members what the deal is nowadays, I sure hope that Daniel will keep creative control over what he has managed to create here.Keep up the good work!

  7. This how cardplayer put it:Nearly 120 players were invited to the event, including all the players who made it to the final table in this year's WSOP main event. The top finishers in five of this year’s WSOP Circuit events and several professionals, including Doyle Brunson, Johnny Chan, and Phil Hellmuth, will play in the event.Daniel being a high-profile professional I can state a case for having him in but I guess that is too late now after all :club:.Should be a lot of good tv looking at the guys who are actually playing.

  8. Hey guys,Yes this is my first post but I have been lurking daily for a good year or so, I guess that shows how interesting I found a majority of the posts in the general forum :club:.Anyway, I might have missed it somewhere on here but is there a specific reason why Daniel is not playing the Tournament Of Champions tourney? Sure he has been off the radar results-wise lately but as a tv-network I would jump all over him based on his high profileLooking forward to that first post flaming to begin!
