Thanks for clearing that up for everyone.

WRONG!Do not bet the turn here. If you cannot withstand a raise then you do not want to be betting. Take the free card like you did and if the heart doesn't come then you can consider a call. Good laydown.
-
I'm okay with the way you played it and go with your gut and fold to the raise.

Simple one guys! You raised preflop he called. You raised his bet on the flop he called.he bets into you AGAINHow much more information you need? Would any of you keep betting into a guy that has raised you like this with any hand that doesn't beat AK?C'mon people!

When You Ignore Your Gut Feeling?
Peak01 replied to shrimp4789's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
Easy muck to a raise. you had 25 big blinds left so you don't need to do anything crazy. -
Because you can represent both the straight or a set on the turn but only the straight on the river. I don't believe to many would slow play a set all the way to the river on this board.
-
Grrrrr, I hate min raising. Raise to $15-$20 on the flop. That will give you more information. You have position so use it!

If you are going to make that move make it on the turn. It's more believable.

3 Bet,push, Or Flat Call?
Peak01 replied to throwemaway's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
I think you could be facing a shove by these three hands as well. Then you have to call the shove because your pot committed. I am still happy with taking a $24.50 pot and calling it good. I don't want to let it ride for a 50/50 chance of getting more or losing it all.Maybe at low stakes you get A9, A8, A7, etc. played like this but at the higher stakes they would be looking for information about there kicker earlier rather than waiting till the river. -
3 Bet,push, Or Flat Call?

I just call here. This is exactly how AA, AJ or JJ would play this hand. If you shove these are the only hands calling you so it's dead money in my opinion. -
How Hard Will You Fish For A Set?
Peak01 replied to NOFX_PUNK's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
Strictly psychological. Just like when people play their favorite hands more often than they should just because they feel lucky with it. -
Ouch, twice in one night. Either way, I am just reloading. Don't beat yourself. Nothing you could of done on these hands. Just don't let those two hands keep you from playing correctly the rest of the night. It's real easy to change how you play after that.

How Hard Will You Fish For A Set?
Peak01 replied to NOFX_PUNK's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
I have an interesting thought process with these online before I decide making a call or not. If I can answer yes to all of these then I normally call.1. Does he have enough to make it worth it if i hit? obviously more than 8x his raise2. Is he someone that will pay me off if I hit? Good players will lay down AA if they feel you hit a set. I am more carefull in calling in these situations.3. Am I closing the betting? If UTG bet and MP raised I most likely dump it in fear of UTG popping it again.4. The weirdest thing I do and most of you will think I am crazy but when I multi-table and I have 4 -
Aqos Is A Smelly Pirate Hooker
Peak01 replied to MasterLJ's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
Master, Are you playing 6 handed or 10 handed? I don't play 6 handed so I can't help you there but if you are playing 10 handed then you are playing AQ to aggressively OOP. UTG and in SB/BB depending on the table you can easily build a case for dumping it preflop or limping in. I fold that hand alot in early position. I rather raise 87s on the button than play AQo UTG. -
Fold it preflop. you have 40bb no need to play Ace rag to a raise even if it is suited. When you are big stack you want to be the one raising and picking up pots without resistance.
-
Easy Fold. Villain is an idiot and you will get his money soon enough.

Two Hands Against The Same Villain
Peak01 replied to Verdimme's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
You are playing over pair way to aggressively. You are the perfect target for me because I will call your preflop raise with small pocket pair knowing you will pay me off if I hit. In both hands villain could have over cards and a flush draw which would make him the favorite to win the hand. I think you could build a case for calling or dumping the hand but reraising could be trouble. The objective at this point would be to get to the showdown for as cheap as possible if you decide to continue on. -
Easy fold on the turn. Also, if you are going to limp UTG with KQo then you need to be a good enough player to know that this flop is not a great flop for you and should not be played aggressively.

Aa Twice Limped Utg, Two Diff Results
Peak01 replied to Roberts2003's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
Seems like a heated discussion from most peoples post so I won't get into to much here but I will add something about the first hand that can help disguise your hand. When you limp and he raises, if you are sure you will get heads up then you can just call safely and that will help hide your hand and you could get a nice payoff this way to. -
Nl 2-4 Hand - Making Fundamental Mistakes?
Peak01 replied to Fish-o-rama's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
Raise preflop. As played fold flop. -
Do not bet into the preflop raiser in this situation. Try check raising to get the information you want.

River - Bet Out Or Check/call?
Peak01 replied to AKProdigy's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
Reraise the turn. Just calling out of position in this case is just WRONG because now it leaves you guessing on the river. Only way you are going to find out if you are against a higher flush is by raising the turn. Also, you don't want anyone able to draw cheap to their As or Ks. -
RAISE PREFLOP. As played you have to be real careful here with this many players. You can't win a sng this early but you sure can lose one. Bet about 1/2 to 3/4 pot and hope you get no aggression. If someone comes over the top I fold.
-
I don't play QQ like this. Just call the reraise preflop then on the flop I don't know what hands I beat that someone would reraise me preflop with. I'm letting it go. Then again I don't play 6-handed so maybe I am to tight for short handed games.
