I am folding this 9 out of 10 times. I would have to have a SERIOUS read on a player to call this. I have one friend that would make this play that I would call but he and I have played along time together. I don't know if I could get that good of a read on someone in 90 minutes.

Unlike some lessons we learn you will definitely remember this one.

We might be able to put him on other hands like JJ or 10 10 as well. doubt a QQ or KK would play this way preflop.

I don't play this hand fast all the way. I am OOP and I want to see that river card. The reason I C/R the flop is to see how strong he is. I could very well take the pot down which I am hoping for in the first place. Since he called I know he most likely isn't going anywhere. Since I brick my main goal is to get the river card now. Remember, we are out of position. If I bet and I am raised I am taken off my hand. If I bet I most likely will be called so I think thats a waste of money. I disagree. I am not putting more money in this pot if I brick. If he didn't fold to my C/R on the flop he most likely won't be folding to my bet on the turn. Enough with the over dramatic seizure crap to. We can disagree about hands and debate them rationally. Why do you think that him checking on the turn such a rare thing? If he is on a draw and bricks as well it seems pretty standard he would check as well.

Never said a c/r would buy a free card. Was stating it could happen which makes it another reason why a c/r would be a good play here. A person that was also on a draw could easily check this behind on the turn. think of all the situations before you start criticizing peoples comments.

C/R on the flop could buy you a free card on the turn if you miss for fear of another C/R.

FOLDIf you are going try and learn the game correctly starting at these stakes then you need to fold. If you find yourself calling these all-ins with JJ then you need to move up stakes to where playing like that will teach you a lesson that you will remember. Also, 25-30 max buy-ins is a good bankroll no matter if you buy-in for less or the max.

I'm okay with your thought process here. I probably would not bet the river here though since I could not withstand a raise. I would look to call a bet if he fires on the river here.

A reraise commits you so you either have to shove or fold. I think you made your decision when you called a $7.16 raise preflop. Shove and hope for the best.

I had my worst month ever in August where I ended the month down over 12 buy-ins. It was the most brutal month ever. I almost wanted to give the game up again (I'm sure we have all said that numerous times). To get over that I went back down and started playing the $100 buy-in and played another 10k hands to work out leaks I had in my game. I found that the bad run had totally affected my game without me even knowing. I stopped playing small pots and was putting in alot more money in the pots early which resulted in bigger losses. Overall I truly feel I cost myself 4-6 buy-ins due to poor play

You committed yourself when you re-raised this hand preflop. Based on your stack size you should just call this preflop. The only reason you want to re-raise this is hand is to isolate and that has already been done so just call. Then you can consider a C/R if you feel the flop did not help your opponent.

So you are going to let him draw for free? Do you really think after you just called him he will bet again on the river with KK or QQ?

Just shove it preflop. Raising half your stack only commits you anyways. That would allow a little more fold equity. He may have called you anyways but either way you are getting all your chips in with KK here so don't beat yourself up.

I like the way you played it until the turn. I would raise the turn. You have the best hand. He is not 3 betting preflop with a 2.

I would just call here. You might get BB, UTG or MP1 to call one bet as often as you might get MP3 to call your raise and you don't have to fear a reraise.

I think we are beat here more times than not but I still call this. Do not push though.
