I have had this situation a hand full of times and I can't think of one time that I wasn't beat. To me this overbet is for value not a bluff. We showed to much strength for him to be bluffing here. I am curious about the results but I believe we ran into AK, A7 or 77.

Wow guys, everyone here says call but I really have a hard time with this no matter what the math says. We bet then raise his bet on the turn so he has to put us on at least an Ace. If I am in his shoes there is no way I am getting you off your Ace by pushing. This makes me feel he has a higher boat. I think we are looking at AK or A7 here more times than not. Maybe I am giving to much credit to people at those stakes. Something tells me I need to fold this though.

Okay, you forced me to read your math. On the first part why are you saying he will fold tx 100% when we check to him. Wouldn't he just check with Tx and we split the pot?

I think a pot bet of $3.25 gives you the same information as a $5.00 bet so save the $1.75 next time.

You can't say that. It depends on the size of the bet. I still don't shove this on the river.

I am okay with preflopFlop: I would call $2 then fold to the all-in. you could be against a higher flush.

In this situation I don't like to go for the bluff. With that many limping preflop I find that you most like are against a big hand here most of the time. I really expect to be looking at a high flush from our opponent most of the time. His delayed call on the turn could very well be him deciding if he should raise or just smooth call you. He has position so he probably went for the smooth call so you would fire another bluff.

This makes no sense. If he is the bluffing type then us pushing does nothing but prevent our opponent from making that mistake. He won't call if we push first.

It's easy to start slow playing when you turn the boat but you really need to keep betting because the only thing that you will really get much action from is a 9 (which will call/raise any bet) You bet the turn. He most likely raises. Then you can get it all-in

Definitely call that preflop. I can think of alot better flops I would like to see than that one though.

The object is to get donkey's money in the pot and if you shove he could very well fold to two people showing strength. (He most likely is not smart enough to understand pot odds). If you smooth call this gives the donkey a chance to make a "donkey" move and shove his remaining chips in then you can shove after that. And even if he just calls its not horrible. C'mon Heart!
