Acid, I do like your thinking about the villians stack size in the future stages. I made the $8.90 bet on the flop because it put the first guy all-in and had I been thinking about the future betting rounds I would have bet more so that I could bet bigger and keep from having a questionable decision on the river. I agree with pushing the turn as an option as well. Thanks for the feedback everyone.

when someone bets the pot with that many players in a hand it will be very hard to get him off the hand without a showdown. Part of playing a draw aggressive is for the fold equity which I do not see in this case. I would just call the flop in this case

You have position so I don't mind just calling preflop.On the flop I would float him and evaluate on the turn. Unless you have a solid read I wouldnt give up that easy on the flop. having the Qh helps to.

I am going to assume that you play a TAG style. He most likely knows this and if you raised him I highly doubt he is reraising without having you beat. Easy Fold here IMP.

Raise the turn to $20. I prefer to take it down on the turn than let a draw catch up.

I prefer to C/R heads up a higher % of the time. You are more likely to get a c-bet heads up. In multi-way pots I will lead the betting a higher % of the time.

Nope, but when I do the same donkey move and lose a buy-in I try and rationalize it to myself as well. Doesn't make me feel any better though.You know you don't have to make these kind of moves at these stakes.i wasnt saying a bare pair of J's was for sure good but our other cards + aggression makes this play much closer IMO than initially thought -
You are missing the fact that MP bet into the preflop raiser then called our raise. He is strong and most likely stronger than TT. Also, one of the draws got there on the turn. I shut down here. I have learned the hard way not to fall in love with overpair.Villain easily bet/calls this flop with any two diamonds > 8. Or something like A8s.Given the fact that we're getting 3.5 : 1 on the turn call I think we have to call. Because of that perhaps just shoving the turn is best. I'm tempted to check and see what villain does but if we're ahead on the flop we're ahead on the turn unless villain has 97. -
You don't want to check on the turn here. You very likely have the best hand and letting him have a free card to draw out on you is criminal. I agree with keeping pots small but in this case you have to bet it.When playing OOP, check/call the turn and re-evaluate the river; check/fold a bad card, check/call a brick, lead a twopair/trips card. Keep the pot small out of position. You will make more money. -

I agree, read my first post. He just wanted reasoning for folding preflop so I was giving him the math.Also to the poster above me, there;s something called implied odds that factor into the call. If you hit big, you most likely get their stack. -
Reason for folding J9o preflop. Hands you need to hit in order to play after the flop and % they hit:Two pair = 2.02%Open ended straight = 8.08%Trips = 1.34%Boat = .092%quads = .001%Total = 11.53% So here is your math on why 5 to 1 is not good enough and you should FOLD

You did post this for advice correct? If you already had all the answers then don't post it next time. Preflop is questionable. Calling this is not bad but if you are going to play these hands OOP then you need to be a strong postflop player and know how to keep the pot small. Since you did call then you are looking to hit a flop "HARD" and TP/WK is not "HARD". Getting all your chips in on this board to a preflop reraiser is borderline donkish. Since you did put all your chips in I go back to my above statement about being a strong postflop player and next time you should fold your marginal hand OOP.are you kidding?pretty weak anyone that says fold -
Your easily beat here. Should of shut down after the raise on the flop. C/F the turn was your best option.

Hand 1: you committed yourself preflop when you called his reraise. Just get it all-in now.Hand 2: Fold. You can only beat AK or AJ. Next time bet the river or fold preflop/flop.

Pot sized yes but less likely with an overbet which is the reason I would bet the pot. I want some hands that I can still beat to stay in. If you suck at post flop play then by all means overbet the pot here.You don't think the A of hearts calls a pot sized bet here with the nut flush draw and gutshot?

I like the raise preflop.On the flop depending on how aggressive they are. If they check/raise alot I like the checking but if they are passive I like to bet the flop.As played on the turn I would check behind River I like the raise
