  1. Dedicated to Phil Galfond: This post is dedicated to Phil Galfond because he is the best conceptualizer of playing balanced in big bet games. The reason Galfond looses to Ivey in every single hand is because Galfond has to balance 3 hands with one bet size which is like a needle in a haystack. Tonight I think that high hand in the middle may be better.
  2. I never loved a team until last week, at age 30, when I fell in love with the Reds. I have you to thank. You're a diamond. His name is James F. Roberts, Esq.
  3. To the man whose heart I pointed at: I acted like a jerk, please accept my dad's 59th birthday present as dedicated to you:
  4. Today I went to Barnes and Noble and looked for a book on baseball called "the book" it was out of print which was dismaying considering that i'm looking to do some baseball math. If anyone knows the poster who goes by "Nick Cage," I haven't seen him at all lately, I'd like if he rejoined this thread for a short period. To "Nick Cage": Buddy, I'm pointing at your seat. And I'm calling my shot.
  5. Cracked Cracka is by far the most annoying game i've ever played and Eddie didn't get to say his line once. Dad, I made a mistake HOW SON? I told another man to go **** himself. DOES HE FORGIVE YOU? I dunno. DO YOU WANT HIS FORGIVENESS? YES! SON, ONE TIME I TOLD A MAN TO **** HIMSELF. Did he forgive you?
  6. The Last Prisoner Dedicated to a father I haven't met: I dreamt that you were the last prisoner In the last prison (you had grey and I loved it) And you were happy to see me And that is how I know I'll be happy to see you You might feel like you put me there But you did not The success of my break was ten days to ten years And your confidence made my chest swell when i woke up and i went for a swim
  7. White Board Fever Dedicated to a father I haven't met: Do not call You are sick Do not write my friend You are not well with white board fever each stroke may carry with it, as a step on a path, a chance to stop a chance to look back around say can this be real As sick as we come Get the best markers you can Cut a sport sock to wear on your wrist Run like a mad dog at death And don't stop Until you're sure that you must now crush your tablet As Moses the word that He got from God.
  8. Your solution Dedicated to a father I haven't met: The beginning and ending Are the same A lifetime of mother's kisses I want to press my mind to your hand To feel the tactileness Of the relationships between numbers that I know My darling My son My daughter My baby blue eyed My child of color and gold And when you have your own beautiful solution To your own beautiful problem Sing it in as many perfect pitches As it takes to drain out your mother's wails In this life As it takes to make Beethoven and Newton fold their hands In the next As it takes
  9. I think less now, but I still have no real idea.
  10. It's dust and gas in my head too man. But I think that after the first player flips the second player has to decide then and there if he's bluffing. You: If who's bluffing? Me: Either of them. Why, Phillip... you look like your just bout ready to buuurst.
  11. I would love that. If you ever need someone to play 3D chinese with, let me know and I can be there in less than 24 hrs. I taught it to two of my friends who'd never played regular chinese. It's even more relaxing than regular chinese or pai gow. On the course. :-) Although I first learnt of it when someone listed certain statistics. I want you to know that I did not dedicate a game to you because I believe that God meant for NLHE to be yours.
  12. I heard or read that the first person to email this image to this address: bealprize@ams.org is considered for a prize. Have at it men: Learn what forgiveness is.
  13. mistakes: I make em ALLLL the time. I'm not perfect. I have no problem with having made posts with mistakes in them because I would never take what someone said on a poker forum at face value. (you only lose if you lose the lesson)
  14. Dedicated to Phil Ivey: This post is dedicated to Phil because he'd probably be the best at it for a very long time. Players overall poker strategies and philosophies can be categorized by different words. One player might be "creative", one might be "exploitive", one might play "balanced". Phil is the best I've ever seen at playing "exploitive." Players who play "exploitive" are most-often just going to find a way to win given enough time. I'll refer to the OFC variant as "Negreanu's Chinese." Of all games, Negreanu's Chinese favors the exploitive players. It's no wonder that
  15. For Christopher Michael Langan: "Schrodinger's Gambler Fallacy" - this is an answer not a question. Like "catch-22". Real bosses never try and explain it aloud. To Mr. Langan: Congratulations!
  16. Joke: Mr automatic paper towel dispenser maker man: 1/3 more please. luv-navy
  17. Dedicated to Goichi Hosoda: If you doubt your ability to predict a 50/50 probability with better than 50/50 guesses try this exercise: Flip a coin 200 times and track the results. Once you have that, note where in the trials of the previous 3 flips 2 have come heads or tails, in the trials of the previous 7 flips 4 have come heads or tails, and in the trials of the previous 21 flips 11 have come heads or tails, respectively. Let's say that in the last 21 flips heads has come up 11 times, in the last 7 heads has come up 4 times, and in the last 3 heads has come up 2 times, in that ins
  18. I think it's pretty obvious that my overall goal is to lead people to Christ. I beg not to let your opinion of me personally keep you from one day walking a straight path made of colors with your brothers and sisters.
  19. CLUBS For Jeffrey Swisshelm A brother and a friend. Up to 4 people. Players are dealt 13 cards. The point is to make 3 hands of 4 of a kind from the 13. The first person to do so wins. Players take turns asking another player if they have any of a particular rank of card. If the asked person has any they must surrender them to the person who asked in exchange for the same number of cards of the asker's choosing. UUUUUUUNNNLESSSSS... the person asked has one in that rank in the suit of clubs. If the person has any of that rank in clubs then they may surrender none or as
  20. Navybuttons is out of the well. I may go back in later. If you have questions hold them until then.
  21. I am honored and gifted to know you. I forgot to mention that you have to use 2 and only 2 cards in your 4 down cards in your hand to make your best 5 card hand. So the river betting is structured like PLO. I would never have thought of a game for one second if I knew that person would never play it. If you ever need a friend to play your game with, message me, and I can be in AZ usually in less than 24 hrs.
  22. Dunno, didn't do the math. It would give me more pleasure than i think you think if you would show your math. Do you like to fold?
  23. If you have any questions, now is an appropriate time.
  24. "Straight Nutz" 1/2 Blinds. Pot limit betting structure. Each player is dealt 1 card down and 2 community cards are dealt face up. There is a round betting. Then each player is given a down card and a community card is dealt face up. Then a round of betting. Then each players is given a down card and then a community card is dealt face up. Then a round of betting. AND THEN THE RIVERS! Each player is given a down card and a community card is dealt face up. A final round of betting and then showdown. For Scott
