The last time I checked it's not a requirement to furnish a house as soon as you buy it. In fact, having bought numerous houses it's a terrible idea. You end up buying shit you don't need and might hate 6 months later. Take your time. As long as you have a bed, couch and table/chairs you don't need anything else. If you do, go to consignment store or second hand store and get something temporary. We furnished an entire 4 bedroom, living, dining, loft, cabin with pretty nice furniture for like $5K last year. We only had the couch and a couple futon, fold out couches. Bought everything else.
