  1. Awwwwww, you even added a pretty picture! Would have been better if you posted one of the hot cocktail waitresses
  2. I personally don't see the point in the min raise and it's really not part of my arsenal. I can tell pretty quick if the purpose is to look weak or if you are just a weak player. So, I guess my question is this......Do you use it and what are your strategies when using it?
  3. Agreed. After reviewing one of Actuary's post for player new to limit....value bet your !$@ off. One problem I was/am having is folding my large pairs when a player plays a weak A or some other strange hand.Guess it's time to review SSHE again.
  4. Well, the CO had 66 for a flopped set and turned the boat. With about 2,000 hands in this weekend I've been adjusting to the play at this limit.
  5. I didn't have a read on to the player on my immediate left but the player who led out on the flop was horrible and there was a good chance that he did not have a ten. But is the turn a check fold? The player cold calling 2 bets on the flop with position should have been a clue.
  6. Fold the turn?Anyone got a good converter for this site....all the ones I've found are meh. Can't get the converter to show the stack sizes but I have $21.95 next closest is $16.95 ever one else has $10 or less. Also, I sat down with $10. I haven't played short handed limit much so what should I buy in with?PokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FCP)Preflop: Hero is MP with J , J . 7. Limping with AA when you have a short stack is a bad play unless you expect a raise behind you (as it's been pointed out), but I definately hate the limp more from the CO with 12x the BB left. A raise to 2.5-3x the BB would be better. The range of hands that call from the blind to defend are ones that you have dominated and can usually win when they either miss the flop (and check fold to a flop bet) or hit with a weak A, K, or Q and pay you off big. Picking up the blinds isn't so bad either, and I'll probably try to steal blinds from the HJ and CO if that play is consistent.
  8. Agreed. This game takes place at a bar that has "social club" status which makes it legal. A lot of drunks play and stand by observers that want to give it a try. I've started to play really tight as your big hands will always get paid off.
  9. true. I've slowed down a lot with my agression.
  10. Welcome to the forum. Thanks for replying to this old *** post Nice way to pad the post count though.
  11. Sorry, don't post in strat much so I didn't think about posting the results. I obviously need to catch up here and post more often. I led out when I had trips a couple other times and showed those down. I lead out with trips most of the time.My turn play was pretty horrendus and has been for a long time.I needed reassurace that I played this hand pretty bad. Thanks
  12. The cash game I play in on Mon and Tues is quite loose. $6-$10 preflop is not uncommon ($0.50/$1 blinds). The game was pretty loose tonight. I noticed the guy to my immediate left would raise in limped pots in the CO or on the button with weak aces and small pairs. I limped with Qh9h. He raised to $6. 2 callers before action back to me. Pot is $24 after I call. The flop comes Jh-Js-3h. Checked to me. I bet $15 with about $65 behind after the bet. I have him covered by $10 or $15. He calls and everyone else folds. I don't really think he has much of a hand and due to the way past hands we play

  14. Download Live at the Bike 10.12.05 episode and you will see what a ****** Jamie is. He's playing Mark Sief and Mark raises UTG with AK, Gold reraises with 10-10 and Mark puts him all in. Jamie folds and asks what Mark had and Mark refuses to tell him. Gold says it's fine I'll call my friend who's watching online right now and find out anyway. Gold leaves the table and makes a call.
