Interesting, because I didn't post my stars name, which is pipe5280 on stars. Did my stake get sent somewhere else?i already sent it to you. i don't care when you play. just play while the voting is still going on and bump this thread. -
lol. I've been around awhile, it's a favorite of mine. It's too late for me to play tonight, mind if I hit you up tomorrow? Or are you done staking for the night?wow. how the hell was that name not taken? did you get it five years ago? -
I'll take one if you're still handing out stakes. I reg'd as pipedream, made a comment.

Jeepster actually started this post for me, but yea that's pretty much what I'm looking for. Haven't got PT3 setup completely yet to configure the HUD to move where I need it.That's my current theme + HUD layout.

I've played some 1.10 45 man's so I'm famillar with the adjustment. I'll mix in some $3.40 10 man tournies as well with the move up. Thanks for all the advice guys!Have you played the $1.10, 45-turbos? If not, a general piece of advice about moving from the $1.75 18's to the $3.25 45's is that they play quite differently IMO. The 18's play more like STTs while the 45's play more like MTTs. This means that you have to make an adjustment from being more patient to taking more chances to build a stack. Don't know if others have the same experience with the two formats or not. -
Thanks guys.... I really can't see folding this in the $1.75 turbos. I agree the push was probably wrong. I like the flat call check fold option best. I got to agressive and overplayed AQ. The UTG had KhJh.

This is a pretty standard play for me and I need some advice before I move up to the $3.25 MTT Turbos from the 1.75 18 man Turbos. I've seen villan min raise UTG with KdQd and take it to show down with no pair no draw and make a couple questionable calls early on. I just want to make some mobneyya I plan on fully winning this event -
I get that all the timeSounds like a plan to me. I'm lucky everyone in my office is out of town that week. WOOT WOOT! LOL are you hiring, I could use a job like that.We only have 4 ppl in the company and it's pretty laid back. I lucked out. So you can make a couple friday tournies?
-
I preferr the Golden Gates Casino. The play is loose and horrible, the waitresses have the best uniforms in town, the tournaments are cheap. I'll be going up there quite a bit in the next month or so and be putting up reviews on my blog if your interested. Also there are a couple card rooms to play at around town but a couple of the more well known ones got busted last year. What are the best casinos and poker rooms in and around Denver. -
Sounds like a plan to me. I'm lucky everyone in my office is out of town that week. WOOT WOOT!Thanks for the advice. I may need to come down with something around that time. Anyone want to write me a doctor's note. LOL pokeritis?
You're the second person that's put it exactly that way. I just found out the 75 are singles table SNGs too and see like the better option to hit the quals.40 dollar sats are a one table satellite and only the winner advances, with the 75 top two players advance to the qualifier.main event strategy: build your chips early and fast and towards the money bubble/TV bubble the play is going to be almost always preflop so get your preflop game down. the most important thing i learned in this event was to pick on passive players and short stacks all day everyday.the event i played it payed to 30th and i busted in 32nd when tournament leader busts me (i had the 3rd biggest stack in room) on a AIPF coin flip. weeeeeeeeeee -
The satellites start at 4pm and run till late. You could just say screw it and take a day off like usDoesn't sound bad, except all of the qualifiers are during the week. What about us who actually have to work for a living? -
Makes some good points. Have you thought of what dates you want to go up?Some advice from elsewhere...--On Sats, the more players the better and the closer it is to the tourney, the better. Bigger fields and more desperate players means more players who don't understand solid sat strategy especially as you get close to the bubble. Typically, you always have players who end up knocking themselves out when they could have folded to the seat. -
Where's the conflict here?Wish I could drive down for that. My attention will be elsewhere at that time though, baby TwstdWrstr is due October 4th!(brag post obv)
Congrats

I'm going to take $300 and play the $40 SNGs till I win my seat to the qualifier. I think that's the best route since the tickets are transferrable. Has there been any talk about strat for these? I've heard the play is really horrible at these events.
