It's easy to make the argument that McKenzie has become a mouth piece for the organization but it's easier for that to happen then for the player most of the time. Usually if a player comes in at a good or great contract number it's signed and sealed before we have any squabbling between the two sides and before it hits the public. Judging by the tweet by McKenzie and the response by Kadri I believe that the source was in fact someone high up in the Toronto Maple Leafs Front Office. Fenxis is completely right that this wasn't a "Source" as much as someone saying, "Go tell Bob McKenzie to report this on TSN". Bob gets his news and he reports it. Roy was tough when he was a player, hopefully he's better now that he's a head coach. One year my parents and I stopped and chatted with Bob Miller and Roy was walking by with his golf bag. Bob yelled something like he had the wrong sticks in his hand. He might have kept on walking but I don't quite recall. The Kings always stay at the MGM, and sometimes the Avs stay at Mirage because of Lacroix's close relationship with Rene Angelil. In the end it's all MGM properties. Usually the players just walk through the hotel all day long. Practice isn't open to the public but the arena area is.

Usually all the teams stay at the MGM and walk to the arena. Very easy to get autographs. Robitaille also holds a Celebrity Poker Tournament before the games. Usually all the Kings players/broadcasters play in it as well as players from the Avalanche. All the NHL Players have bounties on them of jerseys and sticks and such.

Anyone going to Frozen Fury in September? Double header this year, Kings vs Rangers on Friday night, and Kings vs Avalanche on Saturday night.

I covered Pender when he played for the Ontario Reign. He never did go crazy in the ECHL, at least not in the games I covered.

Definitely get an MLife Card. What I've found out with that stupid card it's best to put the card on your hotel room, and then charge everything to the room(apparently they're supposed to scan the card at places, but it seems like they'll brush you off, so just charge the room). For every $1 you spend you get 25 points, and it takes 25,000 points to get to the Pearl Level. Easy math says that $1,000, which seems high but considering you're already charging around $500 bucks on your card for the room you're half way there. Trip went well. We survived driving in the snow(friend drove as we didn't want to pay more to add me as a driver as well). Saw most of downtown, as we kept taking the Subway downtown and getting off at Union.

I'm at the Staybridge at 355 South Park Rd. If it's that one then yes lol. It's actually so cold here in California today that it snowed in some parts. I took pictures, it was amazing.

So how does one drive in snow lol? When we have to drive up the mountain to go skiing we put chains on our wheels.

Sounds like a trip to Vegas, 3-4 hours and a whole lot of coffee. SNOW! WHAT THE SHIT IS THIS SNOW THINGY! I've never driven in snow, so that's kind of scary. Assume that I'd just be careful while driving. Nothing wrong with speeding lol.

I have the wedding the night, so disappointed. Some people don't think about my hockey watching needs when they plan their weddings. Definitely hitting up Gretzky's and Real Sports. Not to mention that HHOF and others so I'll keep you posted. Also talked about driving up to Ottawa and or Niagara Falls for the day. Possibilities?

Finally got some stuff figured out. Staying from Feb 13th-17. Will be in Markham, and not Brampton, at the Staybridge Suites.
