Optimal strategy would involve very little bluffing at these tables, but bring your gameboy, or a pillow. You could show a few sexy (read stupid) bluffs and the table will get much more interesting, if not any more profitable. (Even idiots remember that jerk who bluffs too much.) There are few things more fun than enraging the elderly with a well timed checkraise.

PayForUSC, it sounds like your reading skills need a little work. Phil Helmuth recommends practicing bluffing yourself in the mirror. That way you can eliminate your own tells, and learn to read other people.

Alpha, I am not trying to say I am always gettting the best value from every hand I play, but there is no reason to call me a losing player. Just because someone gets a bad run of cards doesn't mean they are losing. I think you need to learn how to think longer term. I can handle criticism. I appreciate dimseven's advice to stop raising A-5 under the gun (however little justification he gave.) The thing I don't like is being called a losing player, because I am not a losing player.

I can take your advice, and I posted here to recieve constructive criticism. I will not however let you insult me and call me a losing player. I am confident that I am a winning player at these levels, and I regularly make money in a homegame I play with my friends. I have read some books on poker, and though I can admit I havent mastered EVERY aspect of the game (yet), I refuse to be called a losing player. Thank you.

I recently acquired pokertracker because of the advice given at these forums and the results I've seen are quite disheartening. My stats are 40/20/2.16 at .50/1.00 full ring games on Party. Could this be simply variance or could this be attributed to a leak in my play? Maybe some helpful advice?

I thought the series was good, until the last episode. (The bounty hunter one.) At which point the series elevated to GREAT. I would have bought this series even if that were the only episode, and considered it money well spent.
