It is somewhere between a poker superstars shove fest and a wpt final table slightly less frequent shove fest. It isn't too bad, just because the pros are fairly enjoyable. (Grinder, who busted so early I missed him. Daniel, Josh Arieh, David Williams, and Evelyn Ng).

Congrats on having a good time playing poker. I don't know what we would do at our home game if someone had to leave and was the huge chip leader. If it was our normal group and he was that big of a lead, we would probably let him have his buy-in back and remove the chips from play maybe, haven't really thought about it.

Several things in this post make me question your trip above....

I stay at the Gold Coast every year for a week. The rooms are not immaculate, but are nice enough for the price. I would imagine the rates there will be much less than at the Rio. There is a walk-way through the parking garage of the Gold Coast where you only have to cross one street and you are right at the back door of the Rio.ps. I am not happy that they changed the dates. I am there every year for the same week. Last year it worked out that it was during the ME. This year it will be during a time when not much I want to see will be going on. I am sure I will still go by to watch some, don't have enough time to even think about playing any of the events since I am there for work....well, mostly there for work.

By the way, I coined the 2 7 offsuit as the jayboogie, I suggested he change his name to jayboggie27. The poor guy with Aces didn't stand a chance. It was pretty classic later when he made a big bet on a pot with a 2 and 7 on the flop. The opponent folded and he showed the 2 7, of coure they were sooted!
