I KNEW IT!!! Damn, I wish I could find that post I made like a month ago when I asked you. Please take this as a compliment, I am just amazed that I knew something that Norm didn'tSeems i was in error people!Upon further review, it seems that the Coca-Cola Company does in fact have a licensing agreement with Dr. Pepper. Details to come later. -
Now we can't let this get ugly or the mods will get mad, but...I was thinking about what i like to talk about and that is women. So, tell everyone what you like/hate about them, who your favorite is (famous or not) why they are your favorite, your best/worst experiences with them, you best/worst sexual encounter...whatever

the poster above me is correct. I both love hot women, and could tell you who his av is.

This would be the only part of your argument that I disagree with (well this and a little about how most arguments need to take into account the intangible, but that is neither here nor there)I think he did mean altruism (and yes, I know what it means). Many liberal people in my opinion seem to argue things because they are 'wrong' and because we must all do 'good' no matter what the consequences are. Which is the definition of altruism, doing good without personal gain.Secondly, the word "altruistic" is not an insult. Look it up. I think you mean something like "idealistic," but I'm not sure, because you're kind of a moron. -
I say all the advice written above me sounds very sound and is probably the way you should go. That or...don't do it cowboy, you have so much to live for.

But comics ALWAYS have random violence...what were you expecting?
I'm going to agree with whale_hunter. I found myself going "WTF?" because of all the random violence. I thought I'd really like this movie, but was a bit disappointed.--RuffRidrI thought it was too violent to even be enjoyable.I was told I would love it,but found myself just wanting it to end.I liked the look of the movie, but the plot and story progression sucked fat donkey tenders. -
I believe it is just you because if you will look further up the thread for my posts, you will see that there is logic applied there, and I am not, per-se, a liberal
Is it just me, or have us liberals been the only ones applying logic to this problem. Also, see my practical post on how the death sentence encourages murders.LoL I would actually refuse to argue with you anymore regardless of the outcome of this thread, strictly because liberals refuse to accept the fact that on most issues their arguments are founded on nothing but altruistic ideals, instead of realism or humanism, usually making any argument from them devoid of any sense or logic.Don't talk to me. -
The poster above me should know that i contiually chang his name in my head to 'fantastic 4' probably because I have a thing for Jessica Albabut then again...who doesn't

Really?! Post it, I want to see if she looks the same in person, then I'll let you guys knowthere's a way better pic of her in the new rolling stone. -
Oh, more acting news...I am going to be on Veronica Mars again. No, still not a speaking role. I shot tomorrow all day at a carnival, how cool is that? I hope I get to meet Kristen Bell...what a hottie
Also on the whole Jessica Alba thing. Since most of you are older I think I can with all confidence say that I have been sexually attracted to her longer than any of you. Ever since she was in a little movie called Camp Nowhere. She was 13 and I lusted after her...of course I was only 11 so it makes it ok :-) -

Just curious as to everyone's opinion on 'spanking.' (No guys I don't mean your personal alone time spanking nor do I mean spanking your wife/gf/bf? while going doggy style) If you could, after you say your stance, say if you were spanked. Again, just bringing up a topic of conversation, not trying to make anyone mad here :-)

Gonna have to point these out to me. If you are referring to all his anti-gang efforts in the past, I redirect you to what was brought up in his clemency hearing. There has been no...I repeat...no decrease in gang activity in the LA area since his 'campaign' started. If you are referring to his 'children's books' and saying that that is a bigger contribution than I make to the public, then I will simply refrain from debating you on this topic since you are obviously ill-informed
i don't think anyone is saying they should be let out after murdering someone. even the most liberal of us would agree (i think) that they have to spend the rest of their lives in a rather uncomfortable jail.and for this person to be executed is nothing more than murder. he is making positive contributions to society and is being killed. it is absolutely depressing that someone is now being publicly murdered for nothing more than political reasons. anyone with any amount of intelligence or capacity for analytical thought knows that in this particular case, execution is wrong. every single person who has a say in Californian or American politics should be vehemently protesting this. if not, you are helping to murder someone. i hope you can live with that, because i certainly couldn't. and since this person is probably making more positive contributions to society right now than you are, and you are helping to murder him, i don't think you can find issue with anything bad that ever happens to you in the future.that seems harsh, but this is nothing more than murdering someone who currently is making positive contributions to society. if you voted for Arnold or his party federally and do not protest this, you are implicitly helping murder. if you vote for either in the future, you are voting for a murderer. think about it.danielYes there is the POSSIBILITY. Then again, there is the possibility that one day the government will cut taxes, justice will be served in all manners, and scientists will find a way to turn shit into ice cream. The possibilities are endless. However, the people who actually kill people anyways usually don't wish to improve their lives. It is rare that after someone commits such a crime that they even want to improve their lives. And even if they said they did, the public would be ok with muderers walking around on the outside world because they want to improve their lives??? Who gives a flying censored WHAT murderers want. Oh what, it's not fair to the murderers that they have no hope if they're stuck in prison?? Well is it fair that the person they killed is no longer alive without their consent, and that that person's family has to suffer through the pain of losing a loved one? Put 'em jail, and either kill them or let them rot. -
Yeah, I'm sure the romans had TV, 3 square meals a day, excersise equipment, libraries, methods for furthuring education...give me a fuckin' break comparing 1st century rome and modern prisonsIt's interesting that our culture sees the death pentaly as the ultimate punishment. For the Romans, life in prison was a far crueler notion.
Our government does say killing is ok in some situatins...thus the manslaughter plea, or killing in self defense. And BTW, he is being killed by lethal injection, so all the "fry 'em" quotes, although funny at times, are a bit off baseSame with the Japanese up until recently. All moral arguments aside, by executing someone the government is saying that killing is ok, even if only in certain circumstances. It's officially sanctioning it, and thus lowering the value of a life in the minds of every single person in the country.
He's been there for nearly 20 years already soa.) All the 'gists' have already taken advantage of that factorb.) They deemed him an unworthy case subjectIn my opinion it would be much more beneficial to sociologists, psychologists, and criminologists (sorry about the gists) if we were to study these extreme offenders and gain a better understanding of the origin of their pathologies rather than send them off to die, often when there may be serious doubts about their guilt. The benefit to society would be much greater in identifying the conditions that lead to the development of such mindsets and thereby taking preventive measures. The case of stanley williams is particularly interesting in this respect as the insight he could offer into gang violence could be extremely valuable -

Exactly, and I say 'NO THANK YOU!!!!!' to the whole parenting thing. So thank you very much to all the parents out there that are perpetuating the human race because you can definitely not depend on me. I think it takes a much better person than I to be a parent.
You just need to make it through 7 or 8 more years. When she gets older and starts to tell you about other teenage things she did that you didn't know about, you will be able to laugh. I hope. It's very important for her to know that their are very bad people in the world that will do unspeakable things to another person. I wouldn't even begin to know how to communicate this to a 12 year old.Huge props to all the parents out there.
I also don't mean to be flippant or downplay your plight but did you really think you had a 12 year old child that wouldn't lie to you????
OMFGMy daughter has probably lived her last day. You made me curious and I just found her myspace page complete with a picture and where she goes to school. OMFG, her mother and I had this explicit conversation specifically about myspace cause we knew some of her friends had accounts there. She looked at us right in the face and said she would never get one, dont worry, blah blah. She has to have done this at school or at a friends house because the only computer at our house is in my room and we always monitor if one of the kids is on it. OMFG tonight is not going to be pretty.
Yeah....I'm guessing she has one right now....my 12 year old daughter wanted a myspace account and I said ABSOLUTELY NOT! Yea I'm a dick dad like that I guess. -
