Here's the update for those feeling the same way I was.I cut my hours per week by about 1/2, spent alot more time dealing live games to keep practicing reads and getting in the flow of the game. Also, it gives you some distance to see that the game shows no mercy to anyone and it's not just you. Not to mention it pays well and just having extra cash in your pocket, wether you won it or worked for it, will help your outlook. My first goal was to book small wins every session, as I did I started getting my confidence back. At this time I was just letting the cards do the work because I was sti

Just wanted to pose a questions about bad runs.I've been hit hard over the last 7+ weeks in B&Ms, continually losing to two and three outers, runner, runner flushes etc. This is run is not only in Hold'em but in every game I play. In approximately 6 years this is the longest I've gone with a "bad run of cards". I've heard tell of month after month of this happening to some great players but wanted to see what experiences other FCPer's have had.

This happened to a buddy of mine in a 1-2 NL game. It was a few months ago but as best I can remember the hand went down like this.Player A's hand - QQPlayer A -preflop raise - $15Player B- CallFlop 2-7-J Player A- Bet $20Player B- CallTurn 2-7-J-( 5 )Player A - Bet $60Player B- CallRiver 2-7-J-5-( 8 )Player B - Bet 30-All-inPlayer A - CallPlayer B's Hand 8-2 for two pairThe line "I was slow playing the deuces on you"I didn't really know what to say at that point..... -
This dosen't fit the OP question, but FYI:Someone mentioned to me at the WSOP this year that Annie had thrown a fit on floor person in one of the NLT tourneys, #22 or #24 I think. She was 2 away from the big blind near the end of a level, but the table was seven hand so played was halted. The floor wasn't filling the table fast enough and Annie fearing she would have to post an increased blind, out of an already short stack, got pretty upset. I wasn't near her table, but that’s the story I was told.

The biggest, cash game, pot I've won to date came at the Rio during the WSOP. Playing a heads match of 10-20NL with a 2K freeze-out.Just over an hour into the session a hand came up where I flopped top pair, my opponent flopped middle pair, the turn brought me two pair and gave him a nut flush draw. The river makes his flush but fills me up. I get called all-in for a pot of $3,965.I don't remember exactly how the betting went down or I would include it.

It's cheating. I can't see any other way to look at it.I disagree with this kind of practice weather it's a tourney or a cash game. I will bet every player down to there last dollar and I expect the same in return. If not it can throw off my reads, the game and future return on hands. Here's an example: You're running bad one session down say 3x the minimum buy-in. You pick-up a great hand but can't get paid because your "buddy" feels bad and wants to let you off the hook by checking it down or not calling with an inferior hand that they normally would play.Just my thoughts.
