  1. I can't believe no one else suggested this yet but maybe you should think about folINSTACALL!
  2. Maybe your bigger issue is your anger problem.Clearly it was the dealer's fault you got hit with a cold deck. Wah.
  3. God does have a mission for Jerry Yang. To ruin poker finally. In all seriousness, at least he seems like a guy with a good heart and he is going to give as much as 800,000 to charity.
  4. I was just thinking, how funny do you think Norman Chad will be flipping out over Phil's early exit?Oh wait....did I use funny and Norman Chad together? My b.
  5. Thanks for playing Philip. Idiot. I'm sure you'll have thousands of chances to be the chip leader at the WSOP Main Event final table in the future.
  6. I think it is possible he flopped a set and is just as worried about the turn card as you. You have about 1400 left after the flop, right?A bet of about 700 might take down the pot here.I can just as easily see checking and gauging his reaction. Your biggest problem is that it doesn't appear you have spades so he might be able to overpower you here even if his set of 3's is terrified. If you check and he bets, even if you read him as weak, you may not be able to come over the top and push him off a hand like top pair with the ace of spades and you'll have to sweat the river. You were probably b
  7. Oh God. You should have folded pre-flop, gone home, and never thought about posting on here again. But hey, tough 10 cent/20 cent game loss.
  8. I was wondering how someone would reply to my post in a douchebag manner. This guy called you on it before I could. My friend works a full time job, has a new baby and he and his wife are looking to buy their first house. He kills the 1-2 NL game when he plays it, he usually plays tournaments/sit n gos because that is what he enjoys. He supplements his life very well with poker winnings. Not every good player is a professional or plays huge stakes. When he plays up, he wins, he just enjoys playing down more. But I guess that makes him a clown according to anonymous internet posters.
  9. I will tell you this story:My friend was playing the 1-2 NL game at Foxwoods, he had about 500 in front of him. A solid player raised and he called with 77. The flop came Q-7-3, rainbow. The guy bet, my friend raised, and the guy moved all in.My friend was convinced he had QQ. He thought about it, thought about it, turned his hand over, and said to the guy, "I'll give you a hundred dollars if you turn over any hand other than QQ. You're supposed to have all my money right now." My friend folded.Well the table went berserk immediately, asking how could he fold that...........right up unti
  10. I scored a 119. I think they want you to assume you are always losing to a set-over-set situation. Screw that, 95% of the time I tap the table and say nice hand and realize my set lost to a higher set. I'm still making way more money when two aces pay off my 33 on a 3-8-J flop.
  11. Calling with the ole J-7, eh? Well, if the flop comes 8-9-10...........J-7 is totally unplayable for a raise there, even with the button. He was either not that good or he was so good he knew he could outplay anybody at the table.I wish I was that good.
  12. I only have fond memories of the MGM Poker room. My first level there I doubled up when my 33 flopped a set against KK and we got it all in. Nice profit that day in only a couple of hours.Great atmosphere in that poker room, and with the Sports Book right there I was able to watch the Sox win that day too.
