  1. I just pulled all my money from there after I got scooped back to back on stud o8 because their servers were messing up and was registering raises as checks on third. People could see a card without even calling the bring in. It pissed me off and I cashed out... Let's see how long it takes them to process it now....
  2. That sounds good, I just set everything up and played 50 hands. Up 8BB. The players I met liked to check raise bluff often. So far seems like things are going to be quite profitable. My Screen Name is EdgarAllen. I am sure we will run into each other quite often. Good luck to you too. Cheers,
  3. Mainly Limit starting at 1/2 - 3/6. Which I see they do not run many full ring games. I suck bad at 6 handed limit tables... guess it is a time to learn. I will check it out and see how it does. If I don't like it after I clear the bonus, I guess I can just move on to somewhere else. Thanks.
  4. Thanks everyone. I knew I played that like a weakling. Lost lot of value here. I think I am going to cool it on the 9 tables for a while and slow down to 4 or so that what I can concentrate better. Yes Biff, you are right. MP1 had 99 and CO had KK. Cheers,
  5. I was thinking of moving to a site with rakeback while I rebuild the bankroll. How are the games at Absolute? Are they worth playing? How are the players? I've heard they are generally pretty weak compared to stars. I was thinking of putting 500-600 into there and checking it out. So far I rather dislike the software but if the games are good, I guess I will deal with it.
  6. Do we need a passport for the border crossing yet?I may be in. Some family may be coming over this weekend. I am not sure if I can ditch them or not. If I do show up, I will make myself know by doing the Krablar dance. If you see some 25 year old fat blob doing the Krablar, that will be me.
  7. Just started playing again. Sadly I took a major withdrawal from my bankroll for a business venture. By major, I mean all of it. I have about 2,000 to work with and have to rebuild. Oh the joys...I only have about $600 put into my stars account. So I have been grinding out the $1/$2 limit games. My goals are to win about $800 on 1/2 and 2/4 then move up to 3/6 by the end of the month. I hope to average about 750 hands a day. I wish I could play more, but who would of thought that starting a company would be soo damn time consuming .So far the month has been horrible, but I think I can still ma
  8. Hello all. After a slight hiatus, I've started to play again. I think I am playing too passively now.I am only about 2 orbits into the table. I don't have much of a read on the villains. Both only have under 50 hands played against. 9. Are the players at $1/$2 smart enough to do that? I didn't think you started running into that until 10/20 or 15/30. I haven't played much 1/2 at all. I skipped that level. So maybe you do... I figured at that level they'd either cap or just call the single bet and wake up on the turn.
  10. Seems fine to me. I may keep betting the river depending on my mood. It's very possible he's betting a weaker ten and not just pocket three's or deuces. He didn't cap the flop which I would expect with a set.
  11. I agree with Litle's analysis. I have a hard time seeing him limping with a 4. Every other hand 77, JJ, KK would raise UTG. So I'd really think about if he had like a 45s or A4s, If I feel he doesn't, I raise. If I am unsure, I just call. I defiantly raise PF. As for the other hand. I agree. But that may be a leak in my game as well. I guess how many are left in the field would sway my decision. If I felt like the tournament was lost at this point and I could coast into the money then I would play it differently. Trying to be very cheap about it. If not, or we are in the money, I am really loo
  12. Do you have any read on him so far? I find the min raise is a little odd. In your position you very well could have a six. It feels like a "how good is your six" kinda raise. I don't figure him for much of an aggressive type. He'd raise more with a good six or the boat if he was. If I had the boat in his position, I'd just call trying to keep others in the hand to build the pot. If you did have the six, you are not going anywhere and won't stop betting. He wouldn't be losing value from you by just calling if that was the case. Without a bigger raise or just a call I don't put him on a boat he
  13. Very scary board. There are many hands he could of limped with that will have you dominated. Against a bluff with a single heart only puts you at about 2-1 advantage. A pair with a heart is a coin flip. A set, straight, or a flush puts you at about a 4-1 dog. With your stack size, continuing with this hand basically commits you. You are not invested all that much at this point and folding still leaves you in decent shape chip wise. I'd fold and pick a better spot. Even if you are ahead at this point, there are way too many redraw possibilities.
  14. Didn't his wife write an article for FT saying how they don't play much high stakes anymore. They were tired of all the traveling and wanted to slow down and raise their family or something. I believe it said they only play 2/5 5/10 and 10/20 where their advantage is huge and they can make a pretty standard income.
  15. Fold. You're not committed to this pot at all. Even though his instapush is a little fishy. Do you really want to risk your tournament life on this hand? Pick a better spot.
  16. Any clue what types of hands he check raises the flop with? Or types of hands he re raises the flop with? Any clue what type of hands he calls raises with out of the bb? Would he smooth call a pre flop raise with a high pocket pair? You're probably just going to have to go by feel here and you're going to be wrong a good portion of the time. Against most flush draws you're a coin flip and about a 9-1 dog against a set. Hrmm, You are UTG raiser and the flop reraise of the check raise screams you have aces. Yet he still pushes... The more I think about it the more I say fold. Reason being, you ar
  17. Push. You're getting the odds to call. Against aces your about 45%, Kings your about 55% and a 2:1 dog against a set. Leaving $30 back is kinda pointless. You'll end up putting it in on the turn or river anyways. Get in there and gambol!!!
  18. Call. Even if you are beat at this point it's a small portion of your stack and you still have him covered after. Just win it back in a few hands. Besides, that would of been about the size of your turn anyways. You just have to put it in on the flop now. Same difference. That's the problem with playing short stacks, any sort of raise commits them.
  19. That all sounds about right. Thanks for the input. I was curious after not getting any action what so ever on my last 10 sets or so. I like the idea of changing bet size depending on the flop. I understand where you are coming from. I just keep thinking the weaker bets will be viewed as weakness and get raised like Lavitz said. I know I raise those bets often. Then again, if I know they are the aggro type I could always just reraise them back.Good thoughts on tailoring the c-bet size to the opponents. I always do that with the turn & river bets. I've always did the c-bet the same so n
  20. I have been playing borderline extreme LAG as of late. Raise with basically anything worth playing and a 75% pot sized continuation bet. I was wondering what your opinions would be on checking the flop when you catch your hand and you don't think anyone else connected at all. I was wondering if I was losing much value by continuing with LAG in this situation.Example:Short handed game.Hero is UTG with 1010Hero raises 3xbb, UTG+1 calls, folds to BB, BB calls.Flop: 4 8 10 :spade:A continuation bet here would probably take the pot down now. Would you consider a check? I rarely check the flop w
  21. I have been meaning to program one for horse and draw the longest time. I've always disliked PT. The user interface is rubbish and it's a bit slow. Though its about as good as one can get with the language used. Anyhoo... The user interface and whatnot would be a breeze. The parsing of the hand histories from all the sites would be the pain in the ***... Considering they seem to change the format every month and a half. The upkeep alone is what is keeping me from doing it. I'd rather just spend the time playing. If only the sites all outputted to a standardized XML format...As for the cost of
  22. Not sure. Maybe a non spaded ace. Then a low card on the river. for a min raise. I may hit a wheel or something.
