  1. I guess I could have made it a little more mysterious as to what happenend. It got to me and figured there wasnt going be any better shot, so I pushed the rest of my chips in, thinking i could push the sb off a hand like 10's or so. If I didn't call I knew my image would be really bad since I was checking and folding so much after betting preflop. The guy left to act after me called and then the sb went all in and the guy called him too. The SB had pocket fives and had hit a set, I had my queens, and the other guy had queen 10 of spades. Narrowing down my outs. The flush missed and the fi
  2. This is a $300 buy in live tournament. It is nearing the end ofthe first level, the levels are 45 minutes long and you start with 5 grand in chips. The mojority of these players are not overly good. I had been raising a little bit preflop trying to pick up some chips early. I hadnt made all the necessary adjustments from the satellites I played in to win my seat, if I had made the adjustments I probably could have gotten away from this hand. Each time I raised with marginal hands I would get atleast 3 callers and I wouldnt hit the flop at all, and would have to check and fold because thes
  3. Last night my girlfriend and I were watching the WSOP coverage. She likes poker and doesn't play much but loves to watch any thing concerning the WSOP.We both watched the initial blow up between Mike "The Mouth" Matusow and Shawn Sheikhan and the penalty that came after that. I for one was shocked that someone like Shawn Sheikhan who has obviously played in the WSOP before would make such a noobie move, telegraphing his cards that he mucked. My girlfriend who doesn't play a lot of poker like I said before also noted how unprofessional that was. We both agreed that in the same position we would
  4. Is anyone else playing in this tourney right now?
  5. cool ill try to do that, im horrible with syntax. I have read both of those books as well at the t.j. cloutie book. They have done alot for me.

  7. I have been playing no limit tournaments for over 3 years now, up until recently I heavily favored having big hands when I made a move. I am currently reading A Book of Bluffs, and it is teaching me lots of little bluffs that I can use to cushion my stack. I have been playing online alot was was very tilted by the hands that alot of people were playing. I figured that I would give it a shot, raising alot of hands but getting out of the way if I run into a reraise preflop, and I have easily won the last 2 sit and goes i entered. The point of this post is that this weekend I am playing in
  8. Full tilt has some short handed tables for omaha as well.
  9. FYPYou read my mind dEvI am curious, what do what SW and FYP mean?
  10. I really think that you could have gotten some more money out the other person. Especially on the flop anyone with a draw will call, and I agree with the move on the end, making a big move would probably also encite a call.
  11. I was playing on fulltilt and the .50/1 PLO. The game was short handed 4 people. I flop two pair, there is a flush and stright draw, but I dont have any of that, all i have is top two. Is it even worth betting out, any one with a draw is going to call. I know that in a full game I am not going to bet but this was 4 handed, only 4 people total at the table. I am curious as to what minimum hand most people would want to bet the pot first to act after the flop. Let me know, top set, two pair, only big draws?? I am a newb to omaha so I apologize if this is a stupid question.
  12. I can see both sides of it, good chance that you dont have the best hand, but I dont really like checking to give everyone a free card. Feeler bet, if you get raised which you did then you have to let it go. If your dont want to play that way then I would tighten up and not play pocket pairs under 10 or so. Too easy to flop a set and not have it be top set and be put into a difficult position. You were double suited which is good but not a nut draw which also puts you into a bad position. I am still somewhat new to omaha, I think I play a little too tight sometimes.
  13. thanks for the welcome guys. I was deeply hurt when Daniel himself didn't respond, JUST KIDDING. I know I just put half of the forum veterans on tilt with that comment. It was just a joke
  14. Hello everyone, I just wanted to say hello. I have been readng the forums and DN's blog for a while now and figured it was time for me to get in there and join the forums. Ill play any game, my best games are limit holdem, and pot limit omaha. Still learning Omaha but I think I have a pretty good feel for the game. I look foward to chatting with yall.
