my theory on lost is the show had to be changed because the ending was already figured out. The popular theory during the second season was the island was purgatory. The producers (mainly Carlton Cuse ) have denied this. They would mostly laugh. I think they had to come up with a new ending. The sideway season 6 was born. that is the whole point. I have been here for six seasons/120 hours of episodes. When you present questions to get viewers attached there is a reasonable expectation to get those questions answered. I understand your point but in a game like survivor it has to be considered. It is the biggest factor in getting voted off. If you are a dominate player in challanges you are at risk. Why would this not factor in to a million dollar descision. You should definitely get more credit for making the finals with a target on your back. I also think the mother was the smoke monster because the MIB killed her with what looked like Dogen's knife. MIB also killed his mother from behind without letting her talk- Something Sayid failed to do. The mother possibly had gone into the tunnel of light and became the smoke monster. I am curious about this too. I think when the mother visits MIB we hear the smoke monster sound . I will have to rewatch but I am pretty sure we hear the smoke monster noise and MIB turns around and his mother is standing there. I believe Mom has smoke monster abilities too.

completely agree--- this is a well written show but the last scene failed. The brothers also did not even attack at the same time. The actual brillance of the writing though is you truly did not know if Hank would live. Unlike other shows anything is fair game---Saul again steals this episode.
