  1. bad news boys. I checked my email and they cancelled my action! Looks like we crashed the line and gave them too much action.someone set up a poll, a curious how many of us booked the bet to crash the line.
  2. you guys are both correct. I deal on the strip, and this is the most difficult rule to deal with, because it's varies from room to room, and sometimes from shift to shift depending on the floor person. Some rooms require that to reopen there must be a full raise (all in would have had to been in for 500 to reopen) while others reopen if his raise is 50% (as the case was here). Even more difficult is when you trap a third or fourth all in player in the middle of the raises. Then, even if there hasn't been a complete raise to justify reopening to the original raiser, some rooms allow the ori
  3. They are using brown 25k chips. In Daniel's matches they used mostly yellow 1k chips, swapping out for 5k or 25k with the other player when needed. Remember that he played mostly 4k-8k, so the only time the bigger chips were tossed into the pot was in the pot limit Omaha game (Barry made a raise to $260k at one point and casually flipped 10 brown chips out).If anyone was interested, Andy was up about 3.6 million after yesterdays session. They stopped around 8:30 pm and I believe they were set to start again today at 10:30.
  4. Pardon the Ineruption on ESPN just picked up the story, and mentioned that Roddick was playing "high stakes poker" with Maria rubbing his shoulders. Now you know Daniel was around...when do we get that dish?Tennis_Balls, to answer your question, the MGM has a private poker room above the Sports Book, but that's the only one I know of. The Palms will bring a table to your room if you'er Ben Affleck, as they did a couple years ago. I was playing in a game when non-hotel security and the poker room manager came up to our game and said "it was closing" because they needed the table. Some guys
  5. thank god a real professional got in there to make some sense (if, in fact you are a player) and take the focus off of Mr Ledbetter. I couldn't take the "tips from" from the guy who can't break 90. Time to renew your subscription to Golf Digest man, and while you're at, go watch Golftalk Live on the GolfChannel.
  6. I believe the 3 raise cap is a disadvantage to the better players. While I understand the reasoning behind not wanting to waste the time of others at the table, it is costing me money! There are too many psychotic maniacs willing to go more than 3 raises with less than the nuts, especially at the lower limits. In b&m casinos, players understand that sometimes there may be a delay should two players hold the nuts...but they respect the other players and accept the brief delay. If players can handle it in live action, surely they can handle it online where each raise takes no time at al
  7. Is there anyone else who thinks the 3 raise cap when heads up is ridiculous? If I spend my time massaging a donkey who wants to go 12 bets with me on the end with 3rd nut, who is FCP to say he can't? We're not 4th graders here are we? What do we have to do to get this changed?
  8. lay off...not sure how that happened. my bad.
  9. Plenty of great action at Wynn. Even though Daniels not there anymore, its still a great cardroom. The Bellagio room will be the biggest mobsite of them all...lists will be hours long. Usually when that's the case, the best bet is to head to Wynn. Better room and staff anyway.

  12. I haven't played a ton of online poker as I live in Vegas, but is it common practice online for there to be a four raise cap when heads up? In every brick and mortar card room I've ever played in it's unlimited. Granted, the rules change a bit as to when the cap is established, 3 or 4 raises etc. Am I the only one who thinks that is a little, for lack of a better word...wimpy?[/b]
