  5. Hey BDC welcome to the O8 side of things!!!!!!
  6. the 18 man fill up pretty consistently which is still a little bit of a crap shoot, but not as bad as the STTs I play between 4-8pm est.I wish the reg speed $5.50 would run more often but sadly they are always empty
  7. I try to play the opposite of my oppositions style. tight i play loose and vice versa. I vary my bet amounts as it allows me to steal cheaper instead of risking pot size bets all the time. My experience is pretty limited in heads up though the only ones I play in is the $5 hu tourneys so I'd be interested in hearing others thoughts as well. As far as my range it's pretty wide open and raising when in position a high % of the time preflop
  8. are you playing the single table or 18 man 45's?the single table are extreme crapshoots for sure, but i think you could show a better +ROI in the bigger sng's simply because there are more chips available. I know I don't try the single table ones anymore cuz there's just not enough play IMHO
  9. seeing things like this just gives me extra motivation to build a larger roll so I can get in on some of this action!P.S. the hand from 50/100 with the "WTF I had the nut lo?" that was a joke I hope?
  10. I agree tough spot for this hand and pot could get expensive.
  11. here's that link again should work this time good stuff from a thread Rocket sent me tohttp://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...cal+Bubble+Hand
  12. ok, so unless this guy is really tricky I think you can definitely discount him holding AA then
  13. Also provide link to Card Player article involving one way high hands vs. random lo hands. Some of this has been stated b4, but the article is a good refresher at the leasthttp://www.cardplayer.com/magazine/article/12818 P.S. got link from a JK offsuit post in that thread and I'll just thank you now for pointing me in that direction Rocket I copied this from other thread on here related to O8 sng's
  14. what I meant by straight forward is after the flop you can put people on a pretty tight range IMHOI don't tighten up too much at all. I try and see flops as cheap as possible with two way hands only (sith position for the most part) and depending on the range of hands I put my opponents on and action in front of me I act accordingly. If you catch a piece both ways unless someone has shown a good deal of interest in the pot you can "usually" safely push the action and force people to make tough decisions
  15. use the best five cards count value from highest card to lowest cardin examples you would have AAAKQ vs opponent's AAAQ9 trips K kicker wins AKJ72flush vs opponent's AQ1072 A high flush K kicker wins
  16. yes and yes putting people on hand ranges and raising flops when you are semisure they had to have missed works well too yes, O8 sngs can be very frustrating indeed. that's why building a stack early in these things to me is so valuable. others are thinking the same thing and you can make some moves on people when the opportunity presents itself if you have some chips to work with. In these lo limit sngs/lo limit cash games you might also notice for the most part people play pretty str8 forward and this can be exploited something antistuff does quite well from some of the hands he's posted
  17. if villain has any two cards higher than 9 you are in trouble. Even if you had some kind of read if he's willing to raise on this flop you are most likely dominated IMHO
  18. I agree with your observations. To answer your question in point #3 YES Another thing to consider is if you happen to be able to build a decent stack early you can push people around with mediocre hands preflop just because people h8 commiting preflop
  19. ok, so it's not that weak switch it to A479? just trying to make the point people will stack off when they hold current nutz on high side with no lo potential
  20. http://www.neildewhurst.com/hand-converterit's in the post guide lines but I put up here for you anyway
  21. In the small buy ins I find limping early with even weak 2 way hands can be verrrrry profitable for the reason being if you happen to flop the nut hig/lo with a redraw people will stack off when you are freerolling often(obvious ex. A3ss5h6c flop 2 4 8 ssh villains get it all in with trip 8s all day!)
  22. 1st hand: limp in and see a flop as cheap as possible. When you are playing one way high hands this is the general strategy you want to use. If you are short stacked or in l8 position pot unopened or you've been raising a lot preflop and mixing it up these are a few of the exceptions. In EP I would limp hope to flop at least 2 non lo cards and if not get away cheap2nd hand: pretty standard You could have bet the turn since you lead the flop to rep the boat, but I don't mind check fold either with three others in the pot3rd hand: you have to slow down on the turn. everything to that point loo
  23. " I'm sure I don't have the best hand at this point, but do I commit MP3 and ride the cards?"This must be a pretty solid read! MP3 after pre/post flop calls only has 4600 left behind. I insta ship it in!!!!!!!!!
