    This isn't the best weekend to try to get a good room rate in Vegas. Call Harrah's and see if you can get a room under $150, then call some downtown properties like Binions and the Plaza.
    just checked harahs they are more than 150, but also found Hooters casino they have "bungalow" rooms for 89 and tower rooms for 129 anyone know what a bungalow room is? this seems like an incredible deal for this weekend

    Anyone have any ways to get a good hotel rate for Sunday? Going last second and only havea a room for sat. I tried searching because I remember someone posting a link to a site that had lots of specials. I don't really want a poker rate because I will be doing more partying than poker playingthanks in advanceReed

    I'm in sounds like fun. Also changing the date doesn't really effect me because I probably won't play tourneys anyway (just stick to cash). But my comment is that we are in December and people can't swing their schedules with 5 months notice you all must be really busy.

    Sorry but my new Taylor Made Burner TP says: "No can do Oz"Although I haven't actually hit it yet even though I bought it before Thanksgiving. I've had to turn down golf at 4 super exclusive clubs this last week alone. Man I hate having a job. I am so ready to retire.But I do have a round scheduled last week of Dec with my 2 star admiral brother in law, so I will be playing at least once more this year.

    So I go to dinner last night at Mortons. The wife is dolled up and I wait till she is having a good time when I tell her about this golf tourny the day after my wedding anniversary.It didn't go over well. She wants me home that night :club: and driving to Vegas in the AM to make this would sucketh. Even if I fly it takes about 3 hours when you add in renting the plane getting a rental car, missing the turn etc.Since we are really a long way away from this what are some thoughts about having it later?Seems like it is a lot to ask people to come 2 days early to the WSOP since many of you are on budgets. ( what's that like anyway?)so if we do have the tourny a few days later we should get more people that can make it if they it falls during the time they are already here.Plus we are golfing in the morning and all the tournies start at noon so it is possible to do both.I can make it whatever day, so don't change it just for me ( kidding change it for me)I just was thinking we should be thinking more about other people ( could care less about them )Later in the week seems like we will get a few more people, and the people already playing will be there anyway.Feel free to discuss this. ( if you don't agree with me though then shut the heck up )

    LOL. Forgot about that redneck biker story.I know a dealer here (Claudia) who got rear ended on a freeway. She slowed almost to a stop for traffic and was hit at over 70 miles an hour. The guy never braked. He was also on his cell phone.Normally she has her 2 small kids with her in the back seat but did not on the day she was hit.The rear seat ended up as her head rest. She woke up in the hospital 3 hours later messed up good. Her lawyer is talking +300K. She just wants her neck and back to stop hurting.
    I was just talking to claudia about that on Saturday, she seems to be in pain every time she has to reasch for chips

    I stopped betting on basketball because it distorts the way I look at my favorite thing in the world. It's like in Blue Chips when Nolte stormed into Tony's dorm room after he found out Tony shaved points once and said, "you took the purest thing in your life and you corrupted it." Don't want to do that with basketball.

    I prefer cabs but these are some of my favoritesCab: 03 Jordan, 03 Silverado, 02 Berringer Reserve, opus one, caymusChard: Cakebread, Sonoma Cutrer Les Pierres (sp?), RameyRieslings (haven't had many but I like these and they are cheap): Pffiegen (sp?), Manchov (sp?)I also like that blend that Scott wrote about the Fransician Magnificantthose are all I can think of right now its late. I work at the Phoenician in Scottsdale and we have theh biggest wine list in the state so I get to try a good amount of wines
