  2. I can't believe you chased to the river with your gutshot and caught!!! That makes me soooo angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry...
  3. Doesnt she have a cameo in that poker movie too? That's going to be out in the Spring.I heard about that.. what is that gonna be called/who's in it?I think Drew Barrymore is in it. I think it's called "Lucky me" or "Lucky You" or something like that. Not really sure.Checked IMDB, it's called "Lucky You" and will have cameos from Doyle, DN, Chau Giang, Sam Farha, and John Hennigan. Here's the link: http://imdb.com/title/tt0338216/
  4. yeah. he looked slightly more crispy than usual. I have that ep on dvd along with the rest of season 3.. one of the only good ones on there i'm sad to say. Speaking of clips, anyone know a good site to download some of the past TV tourneys etc? I'd really like to get my hands on a few of them
  5. I got a link to an fcp thread and my myspace page.I was hoping for something more exciting or funny to tell you guys about, but i got nothin..I'm sure if i put a space between 'card' and 'warfare' I would have gotten like 92634856134956 hits
  6. I agree. I spend a lot of time studying my opponents during the first half hour-hour of my sessions, and have found that my gut instinct is usually the right move. This rings true in both live and online games, but sometimes I find I ignore my instincts sometimes live, and it comes back around to give me a swift kick in the nuts more often than not.

  8. is this bonus still running? if so.. care to share the code and spread the wealth ?
  9. Ok.. I read a few posts asking how the tournament went, so I'll give you guys the run down.It started at 5 full tables, starting with 4k in chips. during the entire first level I really didn't pick up much to play with, I stole a few blinds, but nothing big. Starting in the 3rd level I started to get a bit more aggressive and start chopping at small pots, gradually building my stack up to around 6k. I ran into a real tough hand out of the BB when I flopped two pair, I posted this in the strat section and you can read the thread here:http://fullcontactpoker.com/poker-forums/v...5481&highlig
  10. This is pretty much what I figured, don't play with hands that can easily be dominated (weak aces, weak kings etc) but play with drawing hands where the cards are most likely live. Good stuff. And Scott, no I don't go to NYU. I have a few friends there, but I go to school on the island.
  11. This was along the lines of what i was thinking afterward. I'm assuming a fold is the clear choice if he raises, but I was thinking what is my line if he flat calls? Do I bet the river UI? or with the amount of $ in the pot by the river, what's my line if I check and he bets ?
  12. One of the dealers at my cardroom is really hot and knows she is "well equipped" so she always wears real low cut shirts hoping to get more tips.that being said, i love the 4-5-6 seats.
  13. I edited my original response. You know yourself well enough to know if this is a good move. There are people who play better out of their comfort zone, as the pressure makes them sharper (myself included). Also, if you are going to try higher limits, I like that you are setting a limit as far as keeping it on a "trial basis". I also like the idea of posting some hands on here so some of the higher limit players can give you some pointers.
  14. IMO 200 hands isn't much and really won't tell you much about how you'll do long-term at a higher level, and while you might get a feel for how the play is at a higher level, I don't see this as being +EV.You should know yourself well enough to figure out if playing outside your comfort zone is a good move or not. Most will tell us that it's not, and it's usually the best advice.
  15. I agree. I would have preferred a c/r on the flop and a lead on the turn. I feel as if it would get equal or (as the above mentioned) greater value
  16. aucu: your avatar is killing me. it takes me like 40 minutes to get through a thread that you post on because i have to stop and stare at it for at least 10 minutes.
  17. I think the reason that Gus gets as much criticism as he does for his style, is because people just don't understand that he isn't just playing wild and getting lucky. He is actually thinking on a much higher level, and taking advantage of the math of poker. The reason he does well in NL is because, if you watch his play, he gives himself every possible oppurtunity to win. He sees a lot of flops, and plays them aggressively, but if he's called when he doesn't have a hand, he slows down and tries to play catch-up. If he doesn't, he folds.I know thats a ridiculously basic description, but I'm not
  18. I think DW takes this one pretty easily. He's a pretty big force in NL, but i would like to see how he does in other games. He has great instincts, and considering the fact that he's 24 or 25 years old, and has placed 2nd in two major tournaments, you gotta give the guy credit. he's only going to get better. The only problem i see with him is his aggression tends to get him in trouble at times. Most notably, the hand in the WPT event that went something like this:DW on the button with Q-7 and raisesDN re raises big with K-KDW callsFlop misses both of them.DW moves all-in DN callsi'd like to see
  19. i think that about sums it up.put it in the books, this one's over.
  20. it's so good to see that this one is a landslide.harman would dominate annie duke even if she played blind.
  21. gotta go with fischman. better overall player, less arrogant about his play"My name is michael mizrachi and i am a machine."are you kidding me.
  22. wow this one is really close.hadda go with the mouth on this. not only do i think he's hysterical, i think he is the least egotistical of the two. yes, i realize that's like picking which is more exciting, watching grass grow or watching paint dry, but i think his self-deprocating sense of humor is more good natured than hellmuth's holier-than-thou attitude. ..and come on, who didn't enjoy him and that shiekhan idiot during the main event. sheikhan: "is it hot in here?"the mouth: "don't worry you won't be here much longer. aaaaaaaahhhhahaha!"classic.
  23. and the award for least coherent post of the week goes to....
