I think the top team in the eastern conference trading away their best, most experienced, proven goaltender, leaving their playoff hopes on the shoulders of a 21 (21?) year old was a big mistake. Their results in the playoffs aside, how do you as a GM make that move? Had I been a montreal fan I would have been in shock. Here we are supposedly going for the cup, and now we're left with a couple of kids in the most important position? And for a 2nd round draft pick?

It would be somewhat of a miracle for Mike to make it in anyway, and I think his bye night (while biatch plays each game) might make it too much to overcome. It could get interesting though.

Obviously that is because of the difference in the perceived value between huet at that time and schneider now, not the value of the pick.
