  3. Once, you used too many commas in unnecessary places, thus creating a very confusing sentence.Once, I beat a guy with his own shoe for pointing out my typos...Are you Mike Milbury? No, I'm Dreamclown
  4. Once, you used too many commas in unnecessary places, thus creating a very confusing sentence.Once, I beat a guy with his own shoe for pointing out my typos...If you're referencing the fact that you have simply done something rather than having done it only one time, you should really say "I once beat a guy with his own shoe for pointing out my typos." The ellipse at the end is also unnecessary, as you finished your thought, and the story doesn't appear to go anywhere. As long as we're being picky about things here, it's called an ellipSIS, you anal retentive grammarian ass.Amen.

For a genius of your caliber, it should be obvious that I

  7. I'd rather spend the next year in a Nazi POW camp than watch JRB on the WSOP Circuit again...
  8. Once you've played many many hands, you've seen about everything and you keep your composure.
  9. But why would he use his left arm??......................OOHHH MY?!!? YOURE SICK, YOURE SICK!!!
  10. Well, Im playing online right now so that shows my level of concentration...
  11. Yep, you're right. That quote is on the back of "Play Poker Like the Pros", easily the best poker book ever written.I actually think is it one of the worst I have ever read. Hellmuth nearly breaks his arm patting himself on the back. My favorite one is when he says "It is hard to fold aces preflop, but I can do it. And I have been right EVERY single time because EVERY time I did my opponent had pocket aces." Wow, he can dodge bullets. And lie.I agree, its a good thing Hellmuths weren't in on writing the Bible, It would Phil changing water into wine and 7 2 into AA...
  12. Definitely Hellmuth, because if Karma exists, I'll dominate him...

  14. You think thats pathetic, I have tapes of some of those with other tournaments from the mid-90's. They put me to sleep....
  15. I read that sites keep track of how often you play with certain people. Apparently, they won't let you play ring games with one player too much.
  16. You think your parents don't understand? Mine still think poker is pure gamb ling and used to get upset if when I'd play for play money... they thought I was addicted when I'd play for an hour.
  17. Regardless of your faith, or lack thereof, it does not appear that he will go bust in this stage of his career...
  18. Okay, here is a quote from one of Daniel's blogs ," I can already see what types of responses this blog will get in the forum, “Why would those guys play against each other? Doesn’t the money just get circulated? Who is the sucker in that game?”Well there is no “sucker” in the traditional sense obviously, but not all great players are created equal. Some are better than others as is true with anything in life. So why do I play in those games? Well for one I’m confident that I can win, and two that’s part of who I am. If I don’t challenge myself at the highest levels I simply can’t be at my bes
  19. Haven't you heard about the book The Professor, the Banker, and the Suicide King, by Michael Craig?
  20. Well, what happens if some rich fish sits down and plays with them so that he could say he did? They all tear him apart and take his money.
  21. What limits did he play at online before WPT and all that?
  22. I can still not see how reading poker books would hurt you more than it helped. There's a quote from Amarillo Slim on one of the books I read saying how he wishes that this book would have been around 40 years ago for him, or something like that. I dont know if that was a sincere quote or not...
  23. That was the first book I read. With the books he already has/read, I think it would be a step backwards. I think the book is geared towards beginners, and I also think there are some very questionable plays he recommends (i.e. three betting with low pocket pairs). Barry's book is good, and as it was said earlier, doesn't have a ton of strategy, but it talks a lot about the things many books don't talk about like Bankroll management, life as a poker player, etc.EDIT: I forgot to say to get SS2 also. Harman's section on Limit Hold 'em is top notch.I agree completely. That book was a bit of a
