Very nice write up, sir. Too bad about the flush suck out. I know how it feels, but not for so much money. What can you say? You did what you could. Best of luck in your next event.

Yes, donkey shitbag flame puss, how does this relate to Strategy wtfpwn3d?

Although i'm sure you were lucky more than once, nice job. Now you need to work on your final table conduct (ie: Don't donk off chips because you "don't care and are just happy to be here").Anyway, well done.

Are FCP Charter members getting a deal on this?

I agree completely with the previous two responses. You had no "image" at the new table, except that you had a huge stack, which doesn't a mount to much except to hang a target on you for quality players. Best to play tight-ish, loosen up on the blinds and button, and work some people when you have a monster.I have a similar problem, btw, so you're not alone, by a longshot.

I love A9, but it's a fact that it's a weak hand. Nonetheless, the guy is short stacked and you're probably hoping he has KJ or something like that, so I don't blame you for making an effort to get rid of him.

Sshe Principals...can They Be Applied To Nl Tourneys?
Mercury69 replied to Mercury69's topic in Tournament Play
Thx for the further responses...On the plus side, variance decided to smile upon me for a bit this weekend. Finished 7th in a Full Tilt 10$ MTT (300 people) and turned 7$ into a 75$ tourney token, as well as some modest success on low limit ring games, although I definitely overplayed a couple of monster hands and didn't extract enough coin out of the other people in the pot. -
ATo is not something I would push with in that spot. Personally, I'd be more inclined to go with just about any suited connectors(or almost any pocket pair) after another orbit or two. While it's not the worst play in the world, most large stax with a coin toss hand are just hoping for an opportunity like this. ATo is a little weak, IMO

I think a move like that, when the hand is still live, is UNETHICAL! Not sure what the rule is, though.

Thx, BizzleNice job, AdamMc!

Make a side bet that you can't do it for equity :-P
-
Would it be better for the guy to ask for a 50/50 split and play for the remaining 30K? That's what I'd ask for.

I'm sure "biotch" was the only thing you said.

COIN TOSS COIN TOSS!

I can't understand why some people think it's not cheating. What are you, stupid or something? Jeebus.

Death and taxes to cheaters!!!

YES! I knew it! I AM a Jedi! Although I'd rather be hung like a manatee...

I'd definitely consider pushing on the flop, if only to make a point. If the guy is in there with QQ, he still has to hope for a T on the turn or river and he'll know he's beat straight up against the AK overcards. If the guy is betting with QT, he's just got extremely lucky and the betting wouldn't put him on such a weak lucky holding, but you never know what someone will do...All told, I'd push on the flop or, at least, come out with a big bet. The str8 draw possibility is too big.

Thx, Turd, I can always count on you for a two-sided, backhanded, double-dealing response. When are you going to have your ribs removed so you can give yourself head?Anyone else want to weigh in? :-)
-
You know what I mean...Your head is telling you to bet, but you fold becuase pot odds are not good, yet your card hits on the turn. Implied odds not factored in or a Jedi-like sense of what's to come? Or, your gut says fold and, yet, you play into a pot for whatever reason, hit middle pair, screw up your board read and lose a no brainer you shouldn't even be in?Discuss...or flame, whatever.

Is there any truth to my thinking that my learning curve took a dip because of all the new information? Could it be that I'm thinking too much and/or applying theory incorrectly? I suspect it is elements of these, as well as some frustration at what seems like a nverending cavalcade of bad beats. Here's one example of a bad beat: On the bubble for US Daily, 61 players left. It's me vs a slightly larger stack. We end up all-in and both of us turn up AKo. Buddy proceeds to nail four clubs on the board to make a flush and I'm out. I mean, COME ON!!!Anyway, thanks so far. More comments are welcome. -
Good. I don't care how well he truly plays, if the guy is a cheater, he should be hauled by his balls down Main Street and pissed on by the town drunk.Screw you, cheating scum.

If you see my luck lying around, please return it to me. Skill is currently not enough.
