Not that I really know anything, but...TAG will get you far as a baseline strategy. How much you loosen up should be decided by the quality of play at the table and your position. If you notice a $ leak, tighten up until you get a feel for the new texture of play. Things change quickly at online tables, as people come and go very frequently, so you have to be prepared to shift gears often.

What kind of stack did your opponent have? If 1K is 50% of his stack, I'd move all-in and force the issue, but maybe that's me getting overexcited. A hesitating flat call might be in order. If he checks to you on the turns, toss in about 1/3 of the pot and see if he bites. PS: I'm still an amateur, btw. You'll get Copernicus on here soon enough and he knows the games pretty well.
