https://fullcontactpoker.com/poker-forum/index.php?/discover/FCP Poker Forum - All Activityeni assumed the color palate of the film was by design, probably a commentary on pollution, given the theme of the movie. but who knows, it probably won't hit paramount hbo until Chirstmas, so i'll report back then. i watched INSOMNIA last night, hadn't seen it in who knows how many years and had forgotten almost all of it. good movie, but doesnt really feel like a nolan film to me. they should have let Pacino go bigger as he got more and more disoriented from the lack of sleep, he just couldnt do subtle by that point. he only gets going when he gets mad and loud. but it was good.Tue, 06 Oct 2026 17:37:13 +0000Citizen Erased, coesillian, NoChip4You!, Sheiky Elisabeth Shue and Trevor LawrenceTue, 06 Oct 2026 12:39:01 +0000Suited clinging to his King Ralph dvd as he made that post. If it has dull colors I'm out, that dark grayish look puts me to sleep. I'd say that's a cost saving measure but Digger has a nearly 200 million budget? Ooof.Mon, 05 Oct 2026 17:07:46 +0000*Lone*Trout*, bull62, kingcon31, NoSup4U, UNarica Mario Lemieux and Patrick RoyMon, 05 Oct 2026 16:56:12 +0000I'm just a big fan of movies about medieval england. i'm even a big fan of the russell crowe robin hood movie, oscar isaac as king john was a great choice by them. kingdom of heaven, though not really about england but still about the general time and aesthetic is the best, of course. director's cut. hopefully tom cruise can win the oscar for digger. i like that he took a chance but the marketing really let him down and oddly when i watch the trailer i dont like the "look" of the film. the colors all seem muted and dull and i assume that is on purpose but it just seems off to me somehow. i'll still see it when it hits streaming but i think they made some bad choice along the way.Mon, 05 Oct 2026 16:32:34 +0000I was trying to figure out a cheap, decent way to go see Digger, but it just didn't fit into the schedule this weekend. Maybe on $5 Tuesday. But yeah, seems like it's going to lose like $150 million, which, jesus christ, you guys really ****ed that up. Looks like you have a genre you've seen a lot more than me of: Historical movies with "King" in the title. I'll have to shore that up.Mon, 05 Oct 2026 11:30:01 +0000did you see DIGGER? sounds like it is a historic box office flop, which isn't surprising considering they didnt really advertise the film in any way beyond its tom cruise in a weird performance by an acclaimed director (who most people don't really know). i watched OUTLAW KING again and had forgotten how bad the ending is. you absolutely cannot have the king of england challenge someone the king of scotland one on one, lose embarrsingly and then be allowed to crawl away instead of being held for ranson to secure a peace. i dont care if you do something hisotorically inaccurate, but it cannot be beyond common sense of the time period like that. the ending is so rushed i have to wonder if it wasnt cut up by some producer.Mon, 05 Oct 2026 00:41:31 +0000I've been on a little Carpenter kick this year. In the Mouth of Madness and Prince of Darkness tickled my fancy. There's a pretty cheap Hitchcock box set with like 20 movies I bought a while ago that I've really enjoyed. I was surprised how well The Birds held up.Sun, 04 Oct 2026 16:27:34 +0000Peacock has some good old horror movies. I watched the original Frankenstein last night and then The Birds, I haven't seen either in some time.Sun, 04 Oct 2026 16:02:45 +0000FFS Alicia Silverstone is FIFTY, if that isn't a make you feel old moment.Sun, 04 Oct 2026 16:00:38 +0000Barbiegirl32, funkyworms, mhoward29 Rutherford B. A lot of people apparently. What are you up to this weekend? I'm supposed to go cycling tomorrow, maybe the weather hold off, no idea. The problem is the unwashed have access to the same things decent folks have, the main ones being airports and casinos don't get me started.Thu, 01 Oct 2026 12:04:53 +000089Wolverines, BallsASteel, Chet Steadman, coolshtcaity, Crazou, Eleusis, Gallo, holmberk, mmenzie William Boeing and Brie LarsonThu, 01 Oct 2026 11:53:58 +0000went up to the casino tonight and this fvckin guy sat next to me a few hours in and started coughing constantly and i just can't stand that at all. had to get out of there after about ten minute of it. some people have no decency, you just dont show up if you have that going on. standards in this country are far too low.Thu, 01 Oct 2026 03:33:46 +0000It depends on what kind of mood I'm in if I want to watch something graphic. I haven't thought about To Catch a Predator in many years, seems a little odd to make a movie about it, but I'll probably watch it once it streams. Speaking of odd, I watched Backrooms on HBO, I can't really compare to anything except maybe a David Lynch film , I very much enjoyed it.Wed, 30 Sep 2026 12:14:46 +0000bigslicksuitedsucks, gm269, MapleLeafs, PokerJoeK Fran Drescher and Truman CapoteWed, 30 Sep 2026 12:02:13 +0000i dont really get why they made this movie, doesnt seem that interesting to me and i cant imagine i ever watch it. kind of the same reason i didnt watch this movie i saw on netflix, called THE WHSIPER MAN. i saw it had deniro and adam scott and michelle monaghan and i was very excited and then i watched the trailer and it was a good trailer and looked like a good thriller but i didnt watch it because i didnt want to spend my evening thinking about kids who are abducted and sexually abused and murdered. its just too horrifying and i dont want to think about it. i read the wikipedia about it though and michael keaton is in it too, so its probably a very entertaining movie. i just cant. and i dont really want to watch this primetime movie because i dont find it entertaining to watch these pedophiles be confronted and not be immediately put down. i used to laugh at those clips back in the day from the real show, but its just not funny to me anymore. i've entered into my angry old man phase, and its not going to improve. I did watch THE KING the other night and it was the second time i had seen it. i did not fully appreciate CHALAMET the first time. i thought he was great in this role and i thought it was a great movie. but i am a sucker for movies and shows about midieval england.Tue, 29 Sep 2026 16:12:53 +0000Bona, darth__maul, Doozer, iveyfan30, rkard Silvio Berlusconi and Kevin DurantTue, 29 Sep 2026 12:11:01 +0000Twitter has become a special level of cesspool, but Meta is chasing it happily into the pits of hell while the prediction markets gird the rails and the gen-AI companies, um, I've run out of bad metaphors, but it all sucks. Saw Primetime last night. Really liked everything about it, except for the movie itself, that didn't seem to get any of its points across, so that's a weird one. Had a great time with the performances and the set dec and film stock switches and the comedy, but I thought the Predators doc from last year did a better job with its messaging. Still had a fun time, but had a lady next to my friend turn to her after the movie and say "Did you like that? That's the worst movie I've ever seen!" So if nothing else, it's divisive.Mon, 28 Sep 2026 20:42:22 +0000
