Im sure someone has posted this before but the search function was not giving me any results but does anyone have any websites, columns etc. that would help with Limit Omaha high since I regularily play a 5-10 DC game at my local casino in which Omaha high is very popular and I feel it is my worse game.

it is the most pointless game in history. huge standard deviation and low winrates even with experts against total fish.

search the omaha forum on 2+2 someone wrote a very good post in one of the threads there about it.

i think the general idea is play big coordinated cards and always assume somebody has the nuts.

i suck at searching 2+2. if someone could search out the guide, i'd really appreciate it. i know its a stupid game, but sometimes its played at my local casino, and since its generally 8 to the flop and 6 to the river, it seems pretty easy to exploit.

its actually hard to exploit. with 8 to the flop they have the odds to chase anything. your edge would come from the fact that you arent drawing to non-nut hands very often and you are going to make equity raises on the flop that they wont. youll also pay off less on the river.

compare this to the edges you are exploiting in say limit holdem and you get the idea.

if i find it ill post a link to it.

I am good at PLO and PLO8. I suck at fixed limit. Most of the posts in the O8B forum are limit so I avoid that place. Thankfully limit omaha is rarely played and never posted about, so I'm not scared of this forum.

Don't play limit.

I agree that this game is ****. I cringe everytime someone picks it(which is pretyy likely in my normal DC game).

Just cap every street regardless. You'll probably lose money, but if you win, you'll win big.

Are there any books that contain anything about limit omaha? Any PLO books that would help my limit game?

Haha, I like that idea, it's much better than no-foldem holdem.

Limit omaha is my stress release game, same as LHE or stud. But I only play at $1/$2 at most for those games so that I can play like a moron and even if I lose 40 BBs and I don't give a sht. smile.gif

ah, but what if you're playing a tournament in fixed limit and you can't avoid it? i.e. HORSE.

H - Holdem
O - Omaha Hi/Lo <--- not Omaha.
R - Razz
S - Stud
E - Stud Eight or Better

So this whole concept only applies to limit omaha hi? I don't see that people still can't chase cards the same way in hi/lo and still mess you over if you started with like A2KK or something playable. They'd believe they have the price to play like 678K or some stupid **** and flop like 9 10 2 and wait for that jack to beat your set of kings.

I don't really know what I'm talking about, lol. Anyways, my question is, how does it change if it's limit hi/lo versus limit hi? Is it cuz it's in the wrong forum category and you're making fun of me being a noob on here? Or that everybody's trying to catch a low so you'll win high anyway and it doesn't matter that every street gets capped with the worst possible imagined hands?

Most O8b is played limit. Most Omaha hi is played PL.

Variance in limit holdem is large, but in omaha it would be HUGE - you almost always have pot odds for longshot draws in limit omaha so it would be insane with absolutely noone folding. O8b can be played limit because it is a split pot game, so the swings are much smaller and people don't have the odds to chase/call with poor low draws.
