We put ourselves in a very bad situation by calling a raise preflop with 72o hoping to get lucky on flop.

We led into a three-way pot on flop with no hand no draws.

We face the consequences on turn.If you wanna gamble you can call and try to hit your double gut shot or hope your Q high flush is good.

What if you hit your flush and he pots river?

Fold preflop

C/F flop

Fold turn.

See Omaha isn't like Hold em you can't do much without the cards here.

meh, i pretty much disagree all away around.

in pos..against certain people I feel like I can do things without cards, at least on the flop...on the turn here, obviously I'd dump with nada, but now I've picked up a few draws, and against this guy I dont think I'm drawing slim at all.

What do you put him on, potting the turn after c/c the flop?

I def. don't think it's a set, can't be a str8..at best it's two pair in my opinion...maybemaybemaybe 999, but I don't think he'd play it like this.

as for me check/folding the flop...i can't do that cause I'm last to act..a.nd if i call PF with that hand, and then get checked to on the flop..i'm gonna be the flop the majority of the time and try and take the pot.

Wrong strategy against this type of opponents. No need to fight fire with fire.

This is very loose preflop. Given you played the hand in the first place you have hit a very bluffable flop, so I like the bet there.
I think I fold the turn. It's a big bet and you don't have many nut outs, and there are quite a few cards that give us a strong second best hand.

Don't get so hung up on one player at the table that you forget the rest of them. If you can make money off this guy by playing your normal game, don't make too many adjustments. If you start playing too loose against him you can end up in large multiway pots without strong enough hands.
There is always the temptation to think 'if I hit I can stack him', so you play every hand against him. The problem is, hands like these generally don't hit big enough often enough to make this really worthwhile.

I will only call a preflop raise against a weak-tight player in position so you can pick up pots when he misses.

The problem against loose players is you can't put them on a hand, and by loose they will call your bets more likely and you don't know where you are at even you have position. You need a hand to play against them, take their stacks with brute forces. Do not try to outplay them, for example, never ever try the naked Ace bluff, etc.

werd, well i thought, idk why...my fd was live + my str8 draws prob good.

i actually shoveled the turn.

How much fold equity did you expect?

The probability of Bill Frist will steal another bill to make online wiring to online casinos legal again.

Sorry I can't help it.

well, i think i'd get folds from his range a fair amount of the time, maybe 20-40%, however...i later determined my read was slightly off.

he was basically a maniac and probably doesnt fold two pair here hardly ever on the turn. against other guys I play with I'd get them to lay down two pair here, maybe even bottom set...

however, the hand he called with, we were coinflipping with one to come.

edit -- im also playing about 35% of my hands now and so Im' getting into situations that are probably odd..but idk...i like playing this style slightly better than tight...although I think I do each well...i just try and worry about position...and then play..i guess i dont erally have a gameplan but i have been playing a lot more hands lately.

he had J9xx

against my hand (since my fd was live + my str8 draw and 2 pair + trips draw) we were 50/50.

i thought it was funny.

i won.
