ok, im pretty sure i need to fold this but i couldn't force myself to do it getting 10-1.

$0.50 - $0.50, $50 max PLO.

i've got $84 behind.
villain has about $70 behind. villain seems to be a pretty competent player.
ep limper is pretty bad. he's constantly check calling.

hero is dealt QQXX w/ 2 spades, no hearts.

a couple limpers, hero limps, villain limps, blinds check.

flop Q icon_suit_heart.gif 2 icon_suit_heart.gif 5 icon_suit_spade.gif (5 or 6 players)

checks to hero, hero pots, villain calls, ep limper calls. all else fold.

turn 9 icon_suit_spade.gif (3 players)

ep limper checks, hero pots, villain calls, ep limper folds.

river 6 icon_suit_heart.gif (2 players)

hero checks, villain bets $5, hero calls.

the pot was $50 on the river so i was getting 10 - 1 on my call.
....Ian....
10-1 i'd call, but you're prolly beat

i have a question though:

instead of checking the river, is there any other line to take?

Getting 10-1, I can't fold this. There's a greater than 10% chance that villain doesn't have the flush IMHO (2nd set is a possibility).

Yeah you said it in the title....definitely a crying call.

I'd call in a heartbeat.

You gotta lead that river.

If he pots it, i don't think you can call.
The check is incredibly weak, and I'm
surprised he didn't bet more.

Why would you lead that river? What non-flush is going to call?

55 22

Leading this river would be terrible IMO. In fact, 55 and 22 probablly wouldn't even call. If they did you would get called by 34 or a low flush more often.

55 22

I don't think 55 or 22 call at all unless we really think they're idiots here. These hands can't beat anything by the river.

i have very limited PLO experience but leading that river imo, is a very bad play.
