Am I a complete fish here? Please help as I want to get into a new game as holdem is getting old. This a $5 SNG on bodog, couldn't find a converter so I am typing it out. Did I donk this one up, or was it just bad luck?

I'm in small blind with A icon_suit_heart.gif 8 icon_suit_heart.gif 2 icon_suit_heart.gif Q icon_suit_diamond.gif . 6 people see the flop by calling the BB including both blinds. pot $60

Flop is J icon_suit_heart.gif 5 icon_suit_heart.gif 7 icon_suit_heart.gif I check the current nuts, two more checks, raise of $45, one call, I call and the other 3 original players fold. Three to the turn. Pot $195

Turn is K icon_suit_club.gif , I check, villian 1 checks, villian 2 bets 100.00, two calls.
Three to River. Pot $495.00

River is K icon_suit_spade.gif I bet out 155, villian 1 raises to 400, villian 2 calls, and so do I putting me allin.

Showdown, Villian 1 shows Full house, K icon_suit_spade.gif K icon_suit_club.gif K icon_suit_diamond.gif J icon_suit_heart.gif J icon_suit_diamond.gif

Villian 2 shows a set

I show Nut Flush.

Where did I do this wrong, I am obviously thinking in a holdem mentality where I let aggressive players bet into me when holding the nuts, but obviously he outdrew me. I am thinking I should have pushed the turn to represent a Flush Draw??? Please help so that I can get better and win here. Thanks in advance for the flames, I know they are coming.

never sandbag in plo. pot... pot... pot...

pot that flop
repot if you get raised
pot that turn

pot pot pot

well... unless you flop the stone cold nuts (ie. quads, top house, straight flush)

otherwise... pot pot pot

well... unless you flop a straight w/ no redraws on a dangerous board... then it's wait for a safe turn or c/f

Rule #1 of slowplaying is that you have to be able to muck if you know you are beat. A bet, raise, call in front of you. Someone has a full house and it's guarenteed to be the caller. Easy muck.
Second point: There are times to slowplay and time to not. Early in a tournament is definitely not one of these. You don't know the players at the table well enough for this to be profitable. On top of that it's a limped pot, where any schmuck with 4 cards in their hand could have made 2 pair. You might check raise on the flop, but either way, you're going to charge these fools for their draws.
....Ian....
you shoulda pot it on every street.

now seeing that they got some tool bags in there that are willing to bet without the nuts you shoulda check raised all in on the flop or turn (where you could price em out). but this isnt necessarily omptimal.

POT POT POT.......not the green kind.
