I would post this in tournament play, but I don't get much response there for omaha hands so I've posted it here.

4th hand of 6 player SnG.

Hand history doesn't work with converter, I'll do my best here.

Blinds T5/10

I'm in the BB with A icon_suit_diamond.gif K icon_suit_club.gif K icon_suit_spade.gif 5 icon_suit_heart.gif

UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to T20, MP calls, fold, fold, I call.

3 to see the flop, pot is T65.

Flop is K icon_suit_heart.gif 9 icon_suit_spade.gif 4 icon_suit_diamond.gif
I bet T50, 2 calls

3 to the turn, pot is T215.

Turn: Q icon_suit_diamond.gif

I bet T110, Raise to T398, call, I call.

Should I have folded here to possibly a made straight?

3 to the river, pot is T1409.

River is 3 icon_suit_diamond.gif

What do I do here?

Stack sizes? On the river it's probably check/fold with a pot this big unless you know your opponents will fold here. At the lower limits I think you will get the nut straight or bad flush redraw making a crying call too much to try a bare ace bluff. Turn looks fine to me since you are getting odds to fill.

Stacks start at T1000, don't recall exact stacks, but pretty much everyone at or near starting level (+- 100 chips).

I don't bet that turn, a scare card hit (straight). I check call there, that lessens the raise that you have to call on 4th street, which you were right in calling - but it could have been cheaper. Check fold is good when you don't fill up at the river. I don't bluff the bare ace there, not until I am established as a nut peddler... if that even ever happens. There are too many people calling with non-nuts(that beat your hand) to justify making a play here IMO.

so I check the river, UTG checks, MP all in for T502. I fold, UTG calls.

Wrong play here? I think either str8 or flush, too early to put all my chips in with trips.

I don't play a lot of Omaha but in a 6 person game your starting hand is good - would it make sense to raise preflop? I like this hand against fewer people because of the KK. When the flop hits I then continue with at sizeable raise (3/4 pot) and try to take it down right away.

In the interest of disclosure crazyIvan sits two offices away from me, he plays a very tight game and I think he could benefit from more aggression.

1. Set is a drawing hand in PLO.

2. Play big pot in position.
