im sure this should go in strategy, so if anyone actually reads that, i'm happy to have it moved. otherwise:
ok i hear that omaha 8/b PL is relatively easy, so i planned to just sit back and wait for the nuts. i decide to sit down at hi/lo, which i realize is less profitable, but i wasn't feeling all that patient and figured i'd be able to play more hands at hi/lo.
well i didn't have to worry, because here's my first hand in the big blind:

Top set, but 2 low cards. flop is one of those quirky ones that no one can possibly have a straight draw, and its a rainbow. ding ding. easy bet the pot here so my turn bet is big enough people will throw away low draws. only question...with this many people it, do i check-raise - the table looked regularly loose, but it was my first hand so i wasn't sure how likely it was a bet was coming. then again, if ever giving a free card didn't suck ass, it doesn't suck here (though it still does).

ok the bet last round was easy, though a check-raise was a possibility. how much do i bet here? sure i don't want to chop it with a low, but do i just bet the pot and hope for a call? seems like you'd have to be even donkier than average to call that without 22 or 88
