Hey everyone. I read in SS2 that raises OOP or reraises from any position usually mean Aces in PLO, and from the games I've played I've noticed that this is almost always the case.
Given a situation where you can reliably put a raiser on Aces, what kind of hand do you want to crack them? In one situation, I had JJQ10, Queen suited with a Jack. Limped in, it got raised and reraised behind. Orig. raiser dropped, and I called since I knew he had Aces. I was looking for a set or made straight. I flopped an OESD, but the reraiser (who acted before me) bet to give me ~3.5:1 odds. I folded because of the odds, but I couldn't help but think I was in a prime situation to win a big pot. I'm playing a little scared due to learning curve+I usually play limit HE. The guy showed his cards, and sure enough he had Aces.
So, what are your prime Ace-cracking hands?
Thanks

Your position is also a factor that must be considered, as well as stack sizes and all that jazz. For example, say someone has potted it pre-flop (must have aces right?), and another guy calls, well that second guy in there just gave you better pot odds. Or, if one guy pots it (aces) and another guy pots it (aces also???), what are you gonna do? If both players have aces, a hand like 9 10 j q double suited becomes a monsterm wouldn't it?
In Omaha, a hand with aces is not a huge favorite against any other playable hand, so you could play many more hands than you would think... 8)

If I was out of position from the raiser, I fold normally if I have no reads from the raiser.
But if I know the raiser plays badly post-flop (like he can't let go off his AA, ...), I would be gladly to call his raise from any position with four-coordinated cards. I at most loss few bets preflop but the implied odds could be huge.

Many moons ago, before I really knew much about omaha, I had a hand come up that went like this.
I was at a full table (I think it was pokerstars, can't be sure though), UTG. Table was loose agressive since I sat down (lots of players pre-flop, plus many raises). I had ace ace king jack double suited (or something very similar). Based on how the table was being played, I figured I would just call and hope someone raised behind me. Well, I got my wish, as someone potted it behind me, the guy beside him potted it again, I potted it (putting me all-in), first potter called (went all-in, but only had about half of what I did), and the re-potter also called.
First potter had pocket 3's with a king and a queen double suited. Second potter also had pocket aces and two other cards I can't remember.
Guy with the three's caught a three to win the main pot, I won the side pot with a straight.
What was my point again??? :?
