My thought process on this hand is that while I flopped two pair, which i feel to be best at the time....I'm in poor position and the flop texture lends itself to a ton of hands that can easily out draw me, hence im really looking to control this pot, but at the same time i don't want to give up on it. Does this make sense, or does anyone think i should be betting out the flop, or even check-raising if i really feel im ahead. Im pretty sure pot control was the right call.

I was very proud of my river play though, following through on my read on the guy, even though my hand got VERY watered down on the river. My internal reflection question is i wonder what amount my villain could have bet there to force me off my perceived read.....

Good job sticking to your read

You need a miracle flop with that hand and are OOP the whole time, easy fold preflop.

I lead with a pot bet on the flop. The only hands calling you are mainly a high flush draw or some funky low card straight draw.

Calling a bet on the flop with 3 other people in the pot with your weak two pair and no redraws is a spew I think. I think you either c/r pot or fold.

As for the river, as you played it, good job sticking to your gut.

EDIT; just noticed this is a Hi/Lo post in the omaha forum so some of what I just posted might be a little off, like leading the flop. I would still fold preflop though.

I agree with shark on the standard play but i think you knew your hand was pretty good and tried to exploit value, which got you a bigger pot than the standard line would have. Good job sticking to you plan, if that was your plan, and if not wow you should be so glad it happen like that.
